Chapter 24 - Ang Genitals

My favorite moment with was that day because he opened up to me. No pretentions, no publicity, no media, just us. Raw and vulnerable. Hinding hindi ko makakalimutan ang nangyari sa buong araw na iyon. Mas nahigitan pa noon ang mga out of the country dates na nagawa ko.

And little by little, this feeling of fulfillment was slowly sinking in. Nakapagpamangha ito sa akin. I never knew that I'd be this happy and contended. Na para bang may karapatan naman pala ata akong sumaya pagkatapos ng mga pagkakamali ko noon.

I blamed people before for my suffering, then later realized that it was because of my own doings. For my lack of patience, for my desires... Then I let people use me, dahil wala na namang mawawala. I was already used.

I never valued my dignity. Because I was left with none. But Noah was slowly showing me my worth, how actions could speak louder than the words can.

Mabilis dumaan ang isang linggo, ang mga araw na magkasama kami ay mas dumalas. We spent days getting to know each other deeply, goofing around and hunting secret restaurants around metro. It was heaven for me.

Tunog ng telepono ang nagpatigil sa akin sa paglalagay ng serum sa mukha. Naghahanda ako dahil magkikita kami ni Margaux for lunch that Sunday. Si Margaux na nga ang tumawag, sinagot ko iyon.

"Hey Geri, may nirecommend sa akin sa Kenneth na masarap na Japanese restaurant sa BGC. Is it okay if we just fetch you and then Greg will drop us off there?" Masiglang panayam ni Margaux. I can already feel her excitement for her upcoming wedding. Second wedding to be exact.

"Yeah, that's fine." Sagot ko at ipinagpatuloy ang pagkakalat ng serum sa aking mukha.

She beamed on the other line.

"Alright! See you in a bit." Tinapos ko ang paglalagay ng natural look na make up bago ako nagbihis ng isang coral blue fitted spaghetti strap dress na umabot lagpas sa aking tuhod. I paired it with my matted silver stiletto and my black Birkin.

I lazily blowdried my hair and few minutes later, I got a text from Margaux saying that they are near so I should go down. I brushed my hair and just let it hang loosely on my back before stuffing my Birkin with my things.

Saktong pagkalabad ko ng elevator ay natanaw ko na ang paparating na itim na Fortuner. Alam kong sila na iyon kaya dumiretso ako doon at masiglang bati ang natanggap ko kay Margaux.

"You look good!" Sabi nito, humarap siya sa akin at nginisian ako.

"I know right?" Pabiro kong banat. I heard Greg scoffed the his lips formed into a grin. The corner of his eyes wrinkled, showing as a sign of aging.

"Hello to you too, Kuya Greg."

We made our way to BGC, sandali at tahimik lang ang biyahe dahil malapit lang naman iyon sa condo ko. Nakarating kami roon matapos lang ang ilang sandali at ni-drop off lamang kami ni Greg dahil may trabaho pa ito.

Before we climbed out of the car, the couple muttered their I love you's and kissed in front of me while I muttered a long "ew" jokingly. Though their love for each other is what I envy and admire.

Everyone wants that. No matter how bitter or whatever their perception in life is, at the end of the day no one wants to end up alone. Every person in this world wants to feel loved and be in love, no matter how cruel or ruthless that person may be.

The kind of love that ignites your soul and set your heart ablaze. The kind that will cause a havoc in your system and mess up with your mind...

"So how are you? You're glowing, dear!" Margaux beamed after we ordered our food. She leaned back on her seat, her eyes wide and craving for answer.
