Roommates [Double B]

(Jiwon's pov)

We walk to a close restaurant, choosing a table at the end and ordering our food. We talk lightly for some time until I decide to change the subject of our conversation.
- Hanbin-ah?
- Yes?
- When you left me alone yesterday... was it really for the reason you said?
- Yes and no.
I quirk my eyebrow to him and he just continues to talk.
- What I said wasn't a lie, I was worried about you. But I was afraid too. As I said before, things were going too fast and I didn't know how I was supposed to slow it down. You weren't cooperating either because you were too drunk to be rational.
- But... You were afraid of what, exactly?
- I was afraid we would end up doing something else, I was afraid you would regret it, I was afraid because I didn't want to stop and I knew that that was the alcohol talking because I wouldn't do that if I was sober.
- But you like me, right?
His eyes immediately leave mine and stare at the table between us while he fiddles his fingers.
- That's not the point.
- I'm ok with taking things slowly, Bin. I just need to know if you like me because I like you. A lot.
He smiles to the table and whispers back to me.
- I like you.
My smile grows wider and I giggle happily with his statement. I rest my back on the chair and pass my hands through my hair with a smile spreading from ear to ear. The waitress finally brings our plates and leave it on the table. The young woman looks at me with a smile on her face.
- You look very happy.
- I am. You know who's fault is it? That cutie over there.
- Jiwon!!
The waitress laughs lightly and I look at her again, trying to annoy Hanbin.
- He said he likes me back!
The waitress laughs again and says:
- Well, I think you two look very nice together.
I smile widely and look at Hanbin with a face like 'did you hear that? she's totally right'. He turns to the woman and says:
- Doesn't he look like a bunny when he smiles like that?
The lady laughs loudly while I try to hide my teeth with my upper lip while I'm still laughing.
- I'll let you eat now. Enjoy the food! If you want dessert later you can call me, we have couple specials!
