The walk home was pleasantly silent. Do you ever get a feeling that everything has been so noisy for the past hours that your ears buzz with the sudden silence? That's how I feel. I'm so tired I don't have the strength to open my mouth and form actual words. I feel numb. For the first time climbing up the stairs for our apartment seems like some sort of punishment given by the gods, kind of like Sisyphus's work. When we arrive, we take our turns to take a quick shower, so we can then go to sleep. When I get out of the bathroom Hanbin is already on bed, so I turn the lights off and lay down by his side. While I cover myself with the comforter I feel the boy by my side moving slightly closer to me, I feel a warm breath by my shoulder and the next second Hanbin snuggles his head on my arm, only forehead and nose touching me. I stiff a little bit at first, not really being used to this, but I relax and close my eyes.

I feel his face muscles forming a smile against my arm when he shoves his face even harder into me, making me smile too. I stop overthinking, and focus on how soft his breathing is against my skin, falling asleep just a few minutes later.
