Once the evening meal had been taken and the hall cleaned, I gathered my Disciples and those of the Fox Clan who wished to participate in a meeting to discuss the days events from their own experiences, after which we all discussed the outcomes and what could have been done differently.
The Princess is dead, and going by the reaction of my Disciples to her demise, The Fox Empress has earned a whole lot of admirers that day, myself included.
Now going over who I had to left to deal with, there is only The Skylord, Ye Hua, Yan Zhi and Qi left. Though before closing down the evening, I discussed thoroughly the effects of the days events would have on us all in the very near future, and it will more than likely begin tomorrow.
"So I want everyone to be on guard, in the meantime, Zhi Lan, you are to close down the Mountain, and with Ru and Bao, I want you all to keep watch overnight. Take turns at sleeping and make sure you do get sleep, the next few days are going to be vital to our safety." It is my final order for the day before dismissing them all.
Then making my way to the infirmary, I find Bai Qian awake and talking to Zhe Yan, and going by her expression and how animated the conversation is, I realize she is angry. On entry, the first thing she does is beckons me closer, which I do, I want so much to hold her. Sitting down beside her, I take her hand while Zhe Yan leaves us alone to talk.
"Mo Yuan, please tell me you didn't do what Zhe Yan said you did." she asked, her large doe eyes wide and teary as she looked up at me.
"Qian Qian, if I didn't you would have died. There was no other choice." I tried to explain, angry with my brother for telling her when she had only just woken.
Sensing where my thoughts had taken me, she told me of what she had seen on her entry to the Hall. "I saw The Skylord being carried in, followed by Ye Hua, and I saw Li Jing as well. What is going on Mo Yuan?"
Sighing, I sat her upright, then moving behind her so she could rest against me, I told her of the events of the passed few days, leaving out nothing. How her soul had been split from her body, and the great lengths The East Seas Princess had gone to, in order to marry into The Celestial Palace. "Every single one of your brothers and your Fox Clan family, played a part in your rescue, because we all love you. And there is no way I could have prevented any of them participating anyway, even your mother, father and Zhe Yan took part." I told her as her eyes grew wider with every word.
"The East Seas Princess is no more. Your mother took care of her personally." I told her, unable to keep the admiration from my voice. That womans strength and fortitude knew no bounds when it came to her daughter.
"What of the Skylord and Ye Hua? What are your plans for them?" she asked, suddenly feeling guilty, they were both in this position because of her.
Feeling her tense against me, I understood in an instant what she was feeling, but I would not allow it. "You have always had the most astronomical temper. You are reckless, and thoughtless most of the time when it comes to what you believe in, however, what they did to you is unforgivable. There were many other choices they could have made, but they instead chose the path they did, and because of their decision, they will have to face the consequences for it. No one is responsible for their decisions but themselves."
"As for the Skylord, I will give him two options to choose from. Both are noble and righteous so regardless of which one he opts for, he will compensate you either way. And as for Ye Hua, he too has a choice to make, but whichever one he decides on, the end result will be the same." then filling her in on what the two options are for the both of them, I could feel her tense even more.
