Judy

Chapter 6

I went to open the door and saw Alex looking at me shocked. His eyes left my like he was avoiding to stare into them. Why they can't be that bad. I took a step back and he came in. The moment he saw Cal his face darkened. It was as if he never wanted us to meet.

"Hey Judy didn't expect to see you here"

The way he said my name was as if it belonged to him and was not to be shared. I gave him a polite smile. The air felt sucked out of my lungs, I felt dizzy and all i could hear was my stomach rumbling . Before i knew it, i passed out and all i could see was black

"Judy"

I heard a familiar voice called out my name with concern. I opened my eyes and saw a fuzzy figure in front of me. Omg! The figure was Jack . How can it be he was so mean and now his kneeling right here. I could feel the smile forming on my face but i was confused. The thought of Jack even smiling at me was a dream come true. His eyes never left mine since i woke up. I must look like a freak starring at him. I could feel my face was heating no please don't blush Jade!

"Nate she's awake"

Jack pushed Alex who was sleeping on the chair onto the floor with a loud 'boof'. I couldn't help but laugh so did Jack . He looked different from the Jack i had met. Maybe its his twin brother or an alien slowly taking over his body. Okay, i might be a little bit over thinking this situation. Alex stood up his mood lifting as he sees me and before i knew it, i was pulled into a hug. It took me a few seconds but i hugged him back. I checked my watch as he let go of me and it was 22:16 Sam must be worried.

"Sam"

I looked at Alex with a worried expression. He looked so calm and gave me a soft smile.

"Don't worry yourself. She told me to tell you she wouldn't mind you sleeping over at your friend. So your stuck with Cal, Jack and i"

I could see a wicked smirk forming on his face it made me feel intimidated by him. Before i could say something Cal entered the room.

"Judy you finally awake! "

He came and gave me a hug. Wow today must be give a hug day. But the way it felt when he saw me was like.... No i shouldn't even think about such things. My focus should be on finding my Father and i have a bad feeling they are going to want to interfere. I snap out of my thoughts and a thought occurred to me. I haven't brought any clothes with me.

"Jack"

I whispered so that only he could hear me. He took a few seconds but the looked up at me. His mood is different now it's like the day i had met him. Just when i thought i was making some progress he shuts me out like that. I couldn't help but notice the blue in his eyes had darkened. Was it my fault? Had i be the reason for his mood change? I realised that my mood was from good to bad and he noticed but i kept my face neutral.

" Would your mom lend me some of her clothes? "

He looked and me surprised. What could be so surprising about wanting fresh clothes to sleep in?

" I'll give you one of my shirts if you don't mind"

I agreed. Who wouldn't wanna wear his shirt i might just keep it for myself. But lets not jump into anything yet. I saw Cal and Alex having a small conversation then it stopped as they both looked at me. What did i do wrong now! Ugggh! Am so hungry and its late too late.

"Wanna get changed while we get ready for the game "

I looked at Alex who seemed to be challenging me. Game on. I gave a nod and they all walked out except Jack who didn't look like he wanted to move. Noo who am i kidding he is just deep in thought.
