chapter 14

'Then his phone went dead '

I was nervous if something happened to him then it would be my fault. I tried calling Jack over and over again but it kept taking me to voicemail. I could feel Alex stare he looked really concerned. The moment was interrupted when Sam came barging inside the room. Tears filled her eyes.

"It Cal..his..he"

I was overwhelmed by panic. Alex left my side to go tend to his mothers needs. My mouth felt dry I didn't feel so good black spots startimg to surrounding my sight. Next thing I knew I hit the floor. I expected some sort of pain as my body landed on the cold hard floor but nothing. Alex and his mother hurried to my side but the darkness had already taken over.

"Do you think she will be alright"

Alex asked his mother while I was slowly regaining consciousness. I was confused to why I'm laying here and then it hit me.

"Cal"

Sam and Alex both looked at me like I was loosing it.

"Where is he?What happened to him?I need to see him please "

I looked at Sam waiting for her to say something anything but she didn't. I took my phone and dialed the only number who could answer my questions.

"Hello"

"Jack finally! Please tell me what's going on"

It took him a few second, I could hear him breathing unsteady.

"He was in a car accident his in a very critical condition. I have to go but I'll send you a text of which hospital we at "

Thank you was all I could say before he hangup the phone. Jack was quick to send the message all I needed was for Sam to take me there.

"Please take me to him"

I asked her breaking the silence and she nodded. The hospital was pretty far so it would take time for us to reach there. I knew Sam knew what happened and why but how could I mention this without being nosy.

"By reading your facial expression I can see you want to ask me something "

I looked up at her shocked.

"It's okay you can ask me"

I took a deep breath in.

"What happened is it my fault"

She shook her head which was a good sign.

"It's not your fault not at all. Jack mention to both me and his mother that he had told him to leave you since your heart doesn't belong to him but that was not it."

I looked at her confused. What does it mean then.

"Nobody knew about his condition until he started turning ten. The psychologist told us that it wasn't bad the nightmares could be treated Emily did so. Years past and he became better."

What kind of condition could it be maybe it was depression and Sam was just trying to avoid mentioning the details.

"So how did he get involde in a car accident?"

She took a deep breath in ,which was strange it seemed like there was more to this story than she was letting on to.

"It seems like the nightmares came back and he kept it a secret. I don't know why but he didn't show, he looked so happy. Even the psychologist saw him improving."

She looked as if she was going to say something but then she kept quite. I wonder what she was thinking. Sometime I am just amazed how she reads people but then how hard it is to read her. I looked outside of the window while we drove in silence. I thought back on the day I met him.

"Sorry "

A smiled formed on his face

"Don't worry pretty lady I'm Cal and you are"

Wow. He is hot and sees me as pretty am flattered.

"Judy"

I mumbled softly just for him to hear me.

"Nice to meet you Judy "

He gave a sincere smile and extended his hand for me to shake. Wow they where twice the size of mine and so soft. I'm sure he thinks I'm a farmers daughter. He left then i realised I didn't know my way out. My heart started beating faster by the second should i call him or not.

I don't know why but every time I thought of him I smile. My smile keeper.

The car had stopped but we had not reached the place instead it was quite dark outside. When could that have happened? I tried looking outside but the light was to bright for my eyes to adjust.

"Do you know where this place is?"

Sam asked an elderly man showing him a piece of paper. The man nodded and directed to Sam.The hospital must not be as far now than it was earlier. The car started moving this time twice as fast.

We entered the hospital and was greeted by Jack and Emily they looked calm. But the moment Sam entered after me Emily broke into tears. I nearly cried with but I had to see him. I went to Jack and for the first time he cried. My body acted faster than my brain and I was hugging him.

"It's all my fault"

He said. I was still trying to process what was going on but then I felt something soft between my fingers. When did my hand leave his back? And why is his dam hair so soft. I lifted his head and noticed how truly tall he was his shoulders were broad and he was muscular. I looked into his eyes they where so full emotion I've never seen them like that before. Words couldn't even describe how they looked beautiful,raw this words were just understatements to how they truly looked. The way he looked broke my heart yet unlocked hidden feelings. I took a step back to clear my mind but those green eyes were still piercing into my soul.

"I don't think it's your fault "

I managed to say. I looked around to see that Emily had stoped crying. I looked at Jack the emotion still there but not so much. I could feel the wetness caused by his tears still fresh on my neck. He seemed to be breathing uneasily kinda rough. The hospital lights just let his facial appearance look hotter than it was. The light bouncing on his ginger hair and his lips. Omg what wrong with me. I'm thinking about his lips yet his older brother was in an accident. I know Jack is my age but I have a real problem. He was still watching me but more curious this time.

"What?"

Was there something in my hair or something?

"He doesn't deserve you"

He looked at me then left. Who doesn't deserve me could it be Cal what if his talking about Alex. The doctor gave me permission to enter the room which Cal was in he told me he was still unconscious and would wake up around tomorrow. I open the door.

"Judy ?"
