chapter 21

I opened the door to my room. Every memory I had locked up finnaly opened. Then I packed all my clothes it actually felt good to be home. I went to the store to buy some food with the money I had. Step one of staying alone now all I had to do was get a job pay few fees and yeah. It all sounds so easy but I remember my mom doing it and she ended up so exhausted. The day went by quickly and the next day I had school. As I walked out of the house I saw Sam Alex wasn't with her I wonder what happened. I shouldn't even think about him. Sam noticed me and started walking towards me. Oh no! What should I do now?

"Want a ride"

She asked with the most hopeful eyes. I couldn't say not to her after all it wasn't her fault. I smiled at her and followed her to the car. She didn't once ask me why I left. She dropped me of asking is she should come pick me up. To believe she wanted to adopt me and I refused her.

"What's with the face"

Debra came out of the blue looking good. I was happy she came to school even though she told me she was sick.

"You won't believe..."

I told her everything but left out the part about the email insident. If I were to tell anyone they would not allow me to be alone.

"Well his a jerk! I would never let you walk away"

She was about to ad something but what I saw infuriated me. Lola and Alex were walking hand in hand. Jack and Cal were behind them talking and laughing. He walked passed me not even looking at me but I knew he knew i was staring.

"Hey"

Cal greeted me then went to talk to Debra. Jack also greeted me after.

"Are you okay"

Jack asked concerned so he knew. I wonder what Alex told him.

"Yeah"

I said a small smile forming on my face. Jack looked strangely nervous today.

"What's up with you"

He looked at me those green eyes full of emotion. He scratched his head seems like it's what most of the guys do when they were nervous.

"Wouldyougotothedancewithme!"

I laugh.

"I didn't hear a word you said."

A blush appeared on his face.

"Would you go to the dance with me"

He asked and at the same time I said yes Debra did too. We started laughing and the boys walked us to our classes. School was pretty much great if I don't count the part that Alex doesn't talk to me. After school I had to go apply for a busery to fund me since I didn't want to become a burden to Sam. It didn't take a long time since my grades were good. I went home really tired. When I reached my room I decided to change into something comfortable. I didn't want to take a cold shower since the warm water was cut of. I thought of finding roommates who would pay rent and help out. Deb was one of the people who was moving in. Her mom was really concerned about the two of us living alone. But since I am good with words she was moving in at the end of this week. I was looking for my big superman T but found two. I couldn't remember why I have two so I out the other on. It strangely smelled like Alex and it all came to me. My thought were interrupted by the sound of the doorbell. I ran downstairs to open it.

"Hey"

Jack!!!What the...he knows were I live now.

"Come in"

He came in and looked around the house. Maybe he also heard about me looking for people to stay with me.

"So.. how'd you know I would be here?"

His focus came back to me.

"Well last time you mentioned to me having a house next to Alex.."

Hmmm. I can't remember mentioning that to him. Well there are a lot of things I can't remember.

"Well want anything to drink while I give you a tour?"

Jack is always so weird you never know what his thinking.

"Nope I'm cool just want to know if you wanna you out for pizza later"

He smiled and it wasn't shy like before now it was all jerky. We went out for pizza and when I mean we includes Cal and Deb. Turned out Jack didn't want to be the third-party of those two. I was about to order when Lola walked in Alex following behind her. Seems like they are joining us Lola went to sir next to Cal which left only one seat next to me. Alex sat next to me and took my menu from my hands.

"Hey get your own"

I said trying and failing to get it back Debra was laughing at me while the rest talked. He stuck his tongue out and I grabbed it. Ugg!!!So disgusting. He gave me the menu back and I let go of his tongue.

"Your fingers tastes really sweet "

He said then the waiter came. He looked our age really skinny but really intelligent. I was about to tell him what I want but Alex beat me to it. We all waited while the pizza's and one bowl salad came.

"..so then I walked into the.."

Lola continued rambling about something. I felt someone staring at me when I turned to see who it was i was shocked. He left to get some drinks but I could see none. It felt like the whole world stopped, like everyone around us stood still and all that stood out were those blue eyes.

"You should stop staring at him!"

She practically shouted.

"What?!"

She looked at me with a smug expression.

"You don't know we are dating. What a shame"

I knew they were dating but the way she had to rub it in my face disgusted me. Alex came back telling us our drinks where on their way but I didn't really care. He seemed to have forgotten I was there and ignored me the rest of the night. We all said our goodbyes and Cal dropped me home.

"You know he cares about you."

Jack informed me while the two infront talked.

"It's cause his your friend you know nothing"

Call had stopped at my house and I opened the car door stepping out Jack walking me to the door.

"It's because I'm his friend I never went after you" he whisper
