Chapter 11

Karen's POV

I walked up the hill with my headphones plugged in.
I was blasting and singing along to These Girls by my favorite boys. The sun was shining bright. I had decided to go to the store to get myself some snacks since I had nothing to do and no one to hang out with. Justin and Jacky had gone to her doctor's appointment, Jeylin was working, and apparently the boys were in their house working on a secret ep and I didnt want to bother them.
I approached my house and opened the front door.  I walked inside and placed my keys on the table and unplugged my earphones.
My phone vibrated.

I went upstairs and changed into my adidas sweats and my '1/5 Herron' shirt that Zach had sent me for my birthday last year. I grabbed my keys and walked over to the boy's house.
"Nice shirt" Zach said as soon as he opened the door.
"Thanks Im representing my faves all in one shirt"
"Kaaaaareeeeennnn" Jack and Daniel screamed as I walked inside.
"JANIEEELLLLLL"
"Wow, where's your Avery shirt?" Jack pouted.
"Hey this was a gift from Zachary"
"It would look better if it said Avery" Jack remarked.
"No it wouldnt"
"Ignore them. You would look better with a Seavey shirt" Daniel teased.
"Hey!" Both Zach and Jack exclaimed.
I laughed and rolled my eyes playfully at the boy's bickering.
"How's the ep going?" I asked as we walked to the living room.
"Its going great. Jonah is upstairs, looking for the songs he threw away that he says are perfect for the EP. Apparently he has a lot of good songs that he never shared with us.
"Thats great. Have you named it yet?"
"Invitation." Daniel replied.
"Because its an invitation to your lives?"
"Yup. You're so smart" Daniel replied. I laughed
"So Where's Corbyn?"
"Oh he went to catch up to Jacky. You know. He is excited to be a father and He really wanted to see her ultrasound"
I smiled.
"So do you want to play Mario Kart?"
"Boys prepare to get your ass kicked."

A few hours later 》

"Cmon Karen one more round"
"No" I laughed as the boys tried to convince me to stay for a little bit more.
"Please"
"None of your puppy eyes are goinf to work on me"
"Fine"
I stood up from the floor and dusted myself off. Footsteps came running down the stairs.
"I FOUND THEM. I FOUND THE SONGS I WROTE ABOUT K- Oh hey um..Karen " Jonah said.
"Hi um.. i was just leaving" I replied,awkwardly. I quickly walked out the door.
"Wait Karen" i heard him say.
No
I wasnt ready to talk about me breaking his heart.
It would make me feel shittier and it might make things more awkward.
I was just not ready to face him.
I quickened my pace and soon I was in front of my house.
I frowned my eyebrows as I saw a strange figure, walking up the steps.
I could hear footsteps behind me.
"Karen I need to talk to you" I heard Jonah say.
The figure in front of me, stopped in front of the door. From where I was, I could see it was a guy, he had fresh tattoos all over his arms. He seemed startled. He slowly turned around.
"Karen?"

I gasped. Memories came rushing back to me. I reached down slowly  and touched my scar.

"M-Mark?" I replied before I began feeling sick and dizzy.

I took a step back. As i raised my hand to cover my mouth as a loud cry came out of me. Tears began running down my eyes. I felt arms wrap around me as I began falling backwards and my whole world turned back.

Y'all i feel like some of y'all wanna murder me for these cliffhangers but tbh i would want to murder the autor if it wasnt my story
Its 11:20 pm and I have to wake up at 6 so I need to go to sleep.
