Chapter 31

Jonah's POV

I played with the promise ring in my hand.  Now that we're in good terms should i give it to her? Or should i wait? What if her feelings went away? But we kissed once. That probably means she likes me. I shook my head and opened my drawer, placing the ring inside. I've been wanting to give it to her four years ago but she left so I just kept it.
"Are you ready J?" Daniel asked as he stepped inside my room.
"Im nervous but Im ready."
"Whoa you cleaned up nice. I would totally date you if i were a girl"
I rolled my eyes at him, playfully.
"Are her favorite cookies done baking?"
Daniel's face expression changed.
"Um..about that..you should go downstairs and see for yourself"
Oh no.. I rush downstairs, into the kitchen.
"Zach what did i tell you about eating the cookie dough?" I asked as I watch him lick the bowl.
"Im sorry... I was making um...sure you didn't poison my best friend..I confirmed it wasnt poisoned."
I groaned.
"Now what am i going to do now?"
"Don't worry buddy we got you" Corbyn said as he entered the room. Jack threw the package of Chips Ahoys! in the counter.
"You could've at least bought a packet that didnt expired today"
"Jonah relax man. Karen is not going to bite you" Daniel said. I took a deep breath. I was too nervous.
"Actually i disagree. She onced tried to bite my hand off because I ate her bag of hot cheetos" Corbyn stated.
"Dont listen to these fools you're going to do great"
"Yea we believe in you. Sort of" Jack said.
"I can do this" I assured myself.
"We should do it right now"
"Already?"
"Yes its 10 pm already. The neighbors are probably sleeping"
"Fine"
Jack quickly opened the package of Chips Ahoy and placed the cookies in a plate.
"See they look like they have just been baked."
We walked outside and I placed the speaker down. Corbyn grabbed the megaphone from Jacky and Jeylin, who were standing outside recording.
"Rapunzel, Rapunzel please let your hair down"
I glared at Corbyn and took the megaphone away from him.
"Karen?"
After a few moments, the window to her bedroom opened. This was it. She popped out, yawning. She had her hair all messed up as if she had just been woken up.
"Geez" Corbyn muttered under his breath as he saw her appearence. Karen noticed all of us and quickly began fixing her hair to make it more decent.
"What's going on?"
"I- I should press play." I put the megaphone down. I began searching my pockets. I took out my phone and pressed the play button.

At this moment, we started dancing just like we rehearsed. We stepped to the side and Zach accidentally kicked the speaker.
His eyes widened as the music stopped. We ran to where the speaker was. The speaker was broken. I sighed as the boys began arguing. Could this get any worse?
I didn't want to look up at Karen. I was too embarassed.
"Wait a minute. Jonah, i have a solution"
"Yes Daniel?"
"We're so stupid. We're a band. We can sing"
"We can? Oh yea we can" Corbyn stated.
"Lets harmonize boys"

My blabbering was interrupting when She shut the window and turned off the light inside her room. My heart dropped.
"Is that a no?" I asked, turning to the guys.
"Its a yes you fool" i heard her say. There she was, standing in her Unicorn onesie. I smiled as she ran over and jumped into my arms.
"Aw my children are growing up." Daniel said, dramatically, as he reached over and hugged Jeylin. Corbyn did the same to Jacky.
"Zach tell me you hug me or tell me you love me"
"No"
"Tell me you love me"
"No"
"Please"
"Fine. I love you Jack"
They both hugged each other. We all laughed.
My dreams were finally becoming true.

Woop Woop Woop Woop. Happy Late Halloween guys! Its finally November! Which means my birthday is close and thanksgiving and Christmas :)))
Anyways i dont really have a lot to say today. Its midnight. Im tired and my stomach is growling. Good Night.
