Chapter 8

Karen's POV

Why Dont We Band Member spotted with a Mysterious Girl yesterday afternoon outside a Coffee Bean. Who is this girl? And Why was she alone with Zach Herron. Details soon to be followed.

I locked my phone. People didnt know about me up until today. Yesterday, the paparazzi took dozens of pictures of us as we waited for our Uber, who took long to pick us up. Zach had tried to cover my face from the flashing lights which made it worse because it looked more couple-y then friendly. They had taken pictures of my face and now it was all over the internet.
"Stop looking at them" Zach whined. We were in the car, on our way to who knows where. Zach doesn't even know where we are going either. Daniel just send Zach a text message and send an uber to pick us up.
"Zach, my face is out there. People are going to start finding out that I dated Jack and ditched Jonah. Ugh, i should've stayed in Chicago. Life was more easier over there."
"Hey hey hey! You take that back Missy. You belong here in LA. You just aren't used to it anymore."
The car stopped in front of a fancy building.
"Oh shit." Zach muttered.
"What??"
The rest of the boys were standing outside waiting for us with some people in suits.
The driver opened the door for me but I froze. I didn't want to get out. I couldn't handle getting yelled at.
"M'am?" The driver said, gesturing for me to step out.
I shook my head rapidly.
"Karen, lets go" Zach said,he was standing behind the driver already. He must have gotten out from the other side.
"You cant make me" I said, crossing my eyes and going to the opposite side.
"M'am get out of my car before i call police"
"Please take me home."
"M'am"
"Theres no need to call police. I got her" I heard Jack's voice say before he opened the door in the other side, where I was. He immediately picked me up and threw me over his shoulders.
"Hey! Jack! Let me down! This isnt fair" I said as I began slapping his back.
"No can do love" He replied , smugly.
"Hello miss. Im David and this is Margo and Steven. We are a part of the boys management team."
"Hello" I said as we all walked inside.
Hmm being carried isn't that bad. I began humming until we reach the elevators. Other people in suits that were inside looked at me weird.
"Oh dont mind me im just chilling" I told them. Zach snorted and Jack laughed.
A few moments later, we got out of the elevator. I couldn't see where we were going all I could see was Jack's back and the floor.  At last, i heard someone unlock a door and everyone walked inside.
Jack softly put me down on a fancy office chair and sat down next to me.
"Thanks for the ride Noodles" I winked, jokingly. Somehow, my mood had changed. Zach sat on the opposite side of me and we began spinning in our chairs.
"Weeee. Hey Zach why did you stop?" I puted like a child and crossed my hands over my shoulder. He gave me an innocent smile and nodded in front of me and I finally saw their management team, staring at me with a serious face.
"Oh shi- Hello" I said as I reached out and shook their hand. I fixed my hair as they re-introduced themselves.
"So why did I get kidnapped to be here?" I asked.
"Kidnapped? You mean they didnt tell you we're going to be talking about your relationship with Zach?"
As soon as I heard those words, I started choking on my saliva.
"Relationship??" Jack,Jonah,Zach and I said at the same time, in shock.
There was no way I was going to date my own best friend. That would be awkward and weird for the both of us.
David half laughs at our reaction but then turns back to being serious.
"Yes, relationship. Since you two were seen together, now all the fans think Zach has a secret girlfriend. We realized if two of you were taken maybe the fans will start going crazier for the other three single boys and we'll get more money off of them by selling more of their jerseys" He bluntly replied.
My mouth dropped open. If he was doing this right now, Imagine what he would do if he found out Daniel and Jeylin were dating or that Jacky was pregnant. I looked around, the boys looked like they wanted to say something but they chose not to.
I stood up. I needed some fresh air.
"Where do you think you're going?" David asked.
"Im going to get fresh air"
"We are in the middle of an important meeting."
"Yea well im in the middle of having an anxiety attack because now my every move is going to be watched by thousands of girls because of this fake relationship thing."
I saw Jonah's lips turn into a little smirk. He seemed impressed. But I didn't mean to be sassy or anything but my anxiety was more important than this.
"If you leave Miss, you will be asked to lose contact with the boys"
"Okay thats enough. Im sick of this whole management bullshit no offense. Listen David. We know you're our manager and all that shit but you cant do that. You can't choose who we are friends with. We have the right to choose our own friends" Jonah replied, standing up.
"Excuse Me. I am you-"
"You know what David, Jonah's right. You cant do that." Daniel defended as he also stood up. The rest of the boys nodded and followed their lead. Jonah looked surprised. He gave Daniel a small smile and Daniel just nodded.
"I don't know if you know this but we can sort of fire you?" Corbyn said, shrygging innocently.
"But who-"
"But we arent. You are a great manager, David but you dont get to choose how we live our life or basically everything for us. Im sorry. We hope you understand."
The boys walked out of the meeting room.
I was speechless and so were the management team.
"You coming Karen?" Jack asked. I nodded and we left the building, leaving everyone in shock.
