Matt had texted Shawn and Jack that I was coming with him. They were already there and were cool with me coming.
I was kind of happy to hang out with them again. It was so fun last time and I need to get my mind off of everything. Shawn was always good at taking my mind off of things so he could probably help. Though I shouldn't bother him to much about it. This was suppose to be fun. So many I should ask him later.
Walking in with Matthew we find both of the guys sitting at four person booth in the back. Jack had his headphone plugged into his computer and Shawn was reading like usual.
"We're here." Matt says, sliding next to Jack. Leaving me a sit next to Shawn which I gladly take.
"Oh... Hey, Lauren." Shawn says placing his book down.
"Hi." I smile. "Whatcha reading?"
"Nothing important really just an old book." He says. "So what's happening? I haven't seen you since this afternoon."
I laugh at his small joke making him small a bit. "Nothing really... I finished your picture."
I take his finished tattoo sketch from my pocket and hand it to him. He opens it and a grin fills his face.
"Lauren this is so cool! I like it."
"You better. I finished it in math while we were suppose to be doing work." I grin.
"Would you have done the work even if you didn't want to do this?" Shawn raises an eyebrow at me.
"Probably not." I laugh.
We were interupted by a waitress coming up and asking for our orders.
We all ordered. Jack and Matt got a hamburger, Shawn got a BLT, and I got a milkshake and fries.
"Anything else?" She asks.
"Yeah." I say. "Do you know if Jen is herr yet for her shift? I can't see her."
The waitress looks confused as she places the notepad in her apron. "I'm sorry Jen doesn't come in until this weekend."
With that she walks away, leaving me with a frown on my face.
"What was that about?" Matt asked.
I look up at him. "Um... Jen told be this morning when I asked her to hang out, that she couldn't because she had to work here... She lied to me."
I look down and start to fiddle with the napkin in front of me.
Why would she lie?Shawn and Matt exchange looks. "I'm sure it was for a good reason." Matt says.
"Yeah." Shawn places his hand in my shoulder. "Don't worry, Lauren. I'm sure its nothing really. So turn that frown around and lets have a little fun... Okay?"
I smile. "Okay."
Shawn gives me one more smile before taking his hand away.
After that was done. I had noticed Jack hadn't said a word yet. Which seemed weird because he always had something to say to me. He was still doing whatever it was on his laptop.
Shawn had turned back to his book leaving me and Matt waiting. So I poked Jack, trying to get his attention. It didnt work so Matt helped me out and took his headphone out. Making him look at us.
"Yeah?" He ask.
"You seem very consintrated there. What are you doing?" I ask.
Jack rubs the back of his neck and looks from me to his laptop.
