Lauren's POV

After calling my mom and saying me and Shawn were at home and would explain in person. I excused myself to the bathroom to text Cam. We really needed to talk. I have so many questions and I'd like to see if what I've been hearing is true.

It hurts knowing the sweet guy I have been dating is secretly a two timing jerk. Sure he is always off somewhere doing whatever it is he does. And sure he can have a bit of a temper and get a little jealous.

Oh why didn't I see it before?

Quickly I text Cameron to meet me at the park at 3. I needed to break up with him. Even if what Shawn said wasn't true.

I just don't think I want this kind of relationship.

Once I was done I make my way downstairs to find Shawn on the phone. He was sitting at the kitchen table, with his head in his hands.

"Okay we'll talk more later, little sis. I'm glad you told me. Love ya." With that he hang up.

He was always so nice to his little sister. It is so sweet and makes me wish I had a sibling like that.

"What was that about?" I ask, making him jump a little.

"Oh." Shawn turns to me with a small smile. "Aaliyah called saying her soccer game was cancelled so she was gonna go sleepover at her friends instead."

I just nod and take a seat at the table. We didn't say much just sat there thinking. It looked like a lot was going through his mind. He didn't need my boyfriend drama on top of everything he has been through these past weeks.

Shawn has been nothing but nice to me. And how do I repay him? By getting him suspended. I feel so bad.

"I'm sorry I dragged you into me and Cameron's drama. You should not be in this situation." I say.

Shawn shakes his head and looks up a me. "It wasn't your fault Lauren. And I'm cool with the situation I can means I can go back to work for a bit. I haven't gone in a while and need to get some money. So it's all good."

"I still feel bad though."

Shawn laughs. "Come on lets go do something before lunch. Got anything in mind?"

"We could go catch a movie." I smile.

"Sounds perfect."

I don't think Shawn was the interested in the movie.

Throughout the whole thing I felt him staring at me. It was times like these I wish I knew what he was thinking about. Maybe it was something on my face.

"I take it you didn't like the movie." I say as we walk back to the car.

"What? No I... what makes you think that?" He asks.

"Just... I felt you staring... Is it something on my face?" I joke.

He doesn't laugh just blushes. "Oh. Um... It's nothing... just... you're really pretty."

Now I'm the one blushing as I smile at him. "Thanks."

He laughs. "Sorry was that cheesy? Aaliyah thinks its cheesy whenever I complement like that."

"No. I thought it was nice. And you look really pretty too, Shawn." I joke.

Shawn lets out a real laugh as he shakes his head. "Why thank you very much, love."

My stomach flutters at the pet name he gave me. Normally I didn't care for pet names. I mean Cameron never called me anything besides my real name. But the way Shawn called me love just felt good.
