Shawn's POV

Walking last night wasn't as bad as I thought. It gave me time to think. How could Cameron be that much of an ass. He is hiding something, I know it. I have read books like this before, he isn't fooling me. He knows Lauren has so much trust and love in him, that he isn't scared anymore.

And all I have to say is that I need to pull a Cady Heron, and expose Cameron to Lauren. (Get it? Mean Girls refrense.)

It's seems like the only way to have her become mine.

Walking in the house was worse then I thought. I hoped Mom was out again but she wasn't, she was far from gone.

"Stop your crying you little whore! Your ass of a brother isn't here to save you!" I her mother hiss.

My whole body freezes, and fear for my sister fills me from head to toe. What has my mom done now?

I run down the hall to the kitchen, thinking that's where the noise were coming from. I almost burst into tears when I lay eyes upon them. Seeing my sister get hurt by mom always made me feel sick.

Standing in front of me, I see my mom clutching a chunk of Aaliyah's hair and holding a beer bottle. Aaliyah had tears streaming down her cheeks as she was kneeled to the ground.

"No don't!" I yell before mom hits her.

Making Aaliyah jump and my mom snap her head in my direction. Her makeup was caked on and smudged, and her hair in a knotty bun. She also had that look on her face that meant she was drunk.

"Well look *hiccup* who it is." She slurs. "Come for your turn?"

She had let go of Aaliyah's hair now. So Aaliyah takes the chance to get up and run to me. Hugging and stuffing her face into my chest.

"You can't always run to him, Aaliyah, you stupid little girl!" Mom spits.

"Don't. Call. Her. That." I say, may worry turning to pure anger. My jaw clenches and my hands turn to fists.

"And what are you going to do about it?" She smirks a evil smirk.

I bend down to Aaliyah's height and move her hair out of her face. "Go to your room and lock the door now. I will be there in a little bit, Sis." I say. She nods and runs off again.

"Yeah *hiccup* run, girl! That's all you ever do anyway!"

Standing tall, I send a mean glare at my mother. "You have no reason to be treating her like that you monster."

"I am her mother! And yours too! I can do whatever I damn please!"

"Just leave her alone! She doesn't deserve this."

"Yes she *hiccup* does!" She yells.

"What could she have possibly done to deserve it? Tell me and it better be good for you to hurt her like that. Neverless should you ever do it again. For any reason."

"If you have to know. The little brat came home late. Was off doing bad things with her *hiccup* ugly ass friend!"

"Oh yeah? What kind of bad things?" I raise an eyebrow.

She sends me a glare. "Don't question me boy! I don't have to tell you shit! But you.... Oh you have to explain why you were out this late as well."

"I don't have to tell you anything, old women." I glare.

"I'm not old!" She yells, chucking her bottle at my face. Lucky I dodged it.
