I groan as my alarm clock goes off. Starting with the usual, I take a shower and blow dry my hair, applying my makeup next. Then, I straighten my long brown hair. I put on a black shirt, a green army jacket, black stockings with some cute shorts, and some black combat boots.

After grabbing everything I might need, I head outside. Since it was really nice, and I was to lazy to get the car out, I just walk. My school was a couple blocks away, so what's the point of driving?

While walking, a small breeze hits my face, blowing my hair behind me. It wasn't a cold wind, well maybe a little chilly, but mostly warm. You know what I'm sayin'?

I plug in my headphones as well. I play the song Hold Up by Beyoncè. It really helped lighten me up from my morning grumpiness. All in all, all of Beyoncè's music does that.

Unfortunately, I made it to hell... I mean school, sorry. So I had to put it away.

I walk into the building, and go straight to my locker. I put some stuff away and grab the stuff for my first class. But, before heading to class, I stop at Jen's locker.

"Hey, Jen!" I smile as I lean against the locker by hers.

"Good morning, Lauren." Jen says, shutting her locker and turning to me.

"Soooo.... how was the thing with Jacob?" I ask.

Jen sighs and rolls her eyes. "Not good. Turns out, he only wanted help with his math homework."

"Really?"

"Yeah! I literally dressed up and everything, but once he picked me up. He took me to McDonald's where we sat in the back doing his late math homework. It sucked." Jen groans.

"I'm, sorry."

"It's fine. I wasn't that into him. He is not worth my time anymore."

"True. You could do much better, and I can help." I smile. I also rap my free arm around her.

After the bell rang at the end of class. I quickly rush out. It was finally my favorite part of the day, art. That time of day I can just sit back and draw. It wasn't like math class, where I have to use my brain to think out hard questions, but where I can use my hands to express my soul. Wow. Was that super cheesy? Or is it just me?

Walking into the art room, I take my usual spot.

Usually by now I'm already starting on the project we were working on, and listening to my music. But instead I was suddenly hit with a bunch of boredom. Like when you're pumped one moment, but realize there is nothing to do. So you get really bored. Well, that happened to me.

So, I just sink into my chair and place my head on my hands. I stare at the door as people filled in. Not recognizing half of them, and then just staring out into space.

But then someone I didn't even know was in this class walks in, pulling me from my thoughts. Yeah, I don't know half of the people in this class, but this person stood out. Like I should have known they were in this class before.

That person was Shawn.

Shawn was wearing his big old glasses again, and his usually clothing.
