Kristina managed to park her vehicle beside a parking lot belonging to a old building that has a billboard above saying: "Come and Eat at Piggy's dinner!" being worn out and holes are common everywhere on the wooden object.
"You live here?" I said, while I stepped out the car with the box in my hands and look at the building as a feeling of awe goes through my body. "Does your boyfriend know?"
"Yeah, I do." Kristina said, shutting her door. "He doesn't even know because of working as a reporter...but this building.." She looks to the upper windows. "It had many surprises after I moved in."
I saw a 'home sweet home' house mat on the door step.
"Reminds of Cat Hotel." I remarked, There is a movie with a cat lover who bought a house that really was a empty Hotel and became a home for cats to spend the night for a while till the morning arrives.
"Never seen it." Kristina mumbled, taking a chain from her purse with dangling keys built different by some different people and went to the door.
How many keys does she need? I thought, watching the firehead attempt to open the door using the wrong one. This reminds me of a movie...but what was it called? I can't remember.
"Are you coming?" Kristina impatiently asked me,standing inside the building.
I shook my head, snapping myself out the trance.
"Yes,just had a pause." I said, strolling into the building and I stop inside after I see a scene that can be not describe with one word. One simple word is useful for this moment. "Wow!"
The round and square tables alike are covered by white blankets strongly similar to a haunted location where nobody has moved any of the furniture into the trailer, I can almost compare it to a abandoned hospital waiting room.
"It's nothing compared to the living room." Kristina said, I heard her flip the light switch multiple times to no avail.
Last time I visited this place was four years ago; Dad thought it would be nice to be out after I had the flu shot and I really wanted to have a ice-cream cone than have a salad with green beans for sure. But no, My Grandparents had to invite us for lunch!
I know how crazy a restaurant can proceed as.
"Alex? hello?" Kristina called, waving her hand up and down from my eyesight. "Are you there?"
"Just day dreaming." I said, looking down to see I had dropped the box while observing the nearly covered furniture. So I picked it up by the handle at the back.
"Did you sleep at all last night?" Kristina said, opening the door and raised eyebrows at me.
I get the habit from my dad, mom often told me that we had a uncanny resemblance than I had with her. I would stay up all night playing certain video games with other people using those headsets or whatever they are called. I followed Kristina into the next room as the door is wide open.
"Ah,so thats how the runaway criminal got inside." I acknowledged,my glance aimed at a broken window.
"Runaway criminal?" Kristina said, being very confused.
I laugh.
"Here's a little scenario." I said, putting the box on a counter. "All the waiters were acting so funny, Dad recorded them using his phone. After two and a half hours later, our food did not arrive."
The firehead giggled, knowing where I was getting to.
"My dad, being agitated, marched to the door." I continue, doing a marching pose. "Then the door flew open and he landed on the wall while a nervous man came out of nowhere holding a gray lumpy bag, then ran off."
"And?"
I take a breath.
"A Dalmatian, German Shepperd, and a poodle chased after him." I said, sitting on a seat built into the ground in front of the counter. "Where's the TV?"
The girl clapped her hands two times.
"Anywhere."
A wide screen slid from the table and bore the resemblance of a Sony product that have managed their way into everyday life and into the homes of billionaires having too much time on their hands to spare.
"How come you get the awesome tech?" I asked, leaning on the counter.
"It was here long before I." Kristina said. "How can three dogs jump through a hole?"
"I didn't say two of them were alive." I sheepishly explained, opening the box. "The Poodle was living."
And Kristina didn't believe me.
"How can small dog make a hole this big?" She said, I heard her measuring the hole. "Two feet wide can only be made by a German Shepperd."
"Anything impossible is possible...As my Dad says." I said, taking the white wii from the box. "Too bad there isn't a stray poodle."
The girl of secrets makes a buzzing noise.
"Wrong." She said, standing beside the window. "Watch an expert summon a Poodle!"
Then she made a long dreary whistle.
Immediately, a shaggy Poodle jumped through the taped hole making it bigger and make the dog be covered in tape. Her theory turned to be thumbs down.
"Totally unexpected!" Kristina started, blinking her eyes.
I snickered;petting the animal underneath my feet while it has a handkerchief around it's neck and appeared to be more tame than wild. She probably expected the stray jump into the building like a cannonbolt leaving holes.
Or she mostly expected the dog to hit the window with its face and whimper off after landing in the garbadge can.
