Friday morning

Camila's POV

I couldn't get any sleep last night. The nonstop worrying after the girl in my arms has been invading my thoughts for hours and I can see that it's finally bright outside. She has been asleep this whole time, which is wonderful. I carefully slide out from under her and quietly slip out of the room, shutting the door behind me.

Dinah and Normani are sitting in the kitchen drinking some coffee. "Mind if I have some?" I ask as I get closer. "Of course" Dinah gets up and pours me a cup. "How did you sleep?" Haha, what a funny question. "I didn't, but she has been passed out all night. I don't want her to wake up all alone when she comes back to her senses, so I think I'm going to head back in there." I go back to the bedroom with my fresh cup of coffee.

She is sleeping so sound, it seems like she is making up for a week of no rest. I walk out the glass doors to the balcony. She has a beautiful view from out here, there's even two chairs and small table with a copy of "To Kill a Mockingbird" placed carefully on it. There's nothing better to do, so I start reading through the pages.

I don't know how long I've been outside, but I finished my coffee a while ago and I'm decently far into the book already. I hear a slight creak of a door and turn around to see Lauren walking towards me with a soft smile on her lips. It's not a happy smile, nor a sad one. It expresses everything she needs to without having to say words, a simple "thank you" and "sorry" at the same time.

"Do you want some coffee? There's some ready in the kitchen." She nods her head and sits down as I get up to get her a cup.

I pour the liquid into my mug and a new one. "She's awake" The pair is now joined by Ally and they are waiting for me to continue. "She hasn't said anything yet, but I'm going to join her on the balcony for a bit" They nod their heads and I make my way back to Lauren.

She is reading through the book when I get back, but closes and places it back on the table as she accepts the warm cup I hand her. Her eyes observe the view in front of her while she carefully takes a sip. They are no longer gray and sad looking. They're a new shade that I haven't seen before, sort of a light blue-green.

We sit in silence for a while, watching the cars and people pass by like they do every day. It was comfortable sitting here with her, looking out at the rest of the world. I see movement from the corner of my eye and turn my attention towards her. She now has her legs curled up to her chest and arms wrapping around them as she looks at the ground.

"I didn't mean to worry you guys." Her voice came out quiet and more raspy than normal. "I'm sorry." She finishes.

"Lauren, look at me." She makes no movement but I continue anyways, "You did absolutely nothing wrong. You were in trouble. You were scared and didn't know what to do. Don't for a second blame yourself for any of that." I emphasized the 'second', "What he did was really fucked up and I'm so sorry that it happened to you. I hate that we couldn't help you before. I could never understand what you've been through or what has been going on in your head, but I'm here for you. I will listen to everything you want to share with me, please just don't bottle it up inside and wait until it explodes." She now has tears brimming her eyes and continues to avoid my looking at me. "I love you Lo, all of us do and we're here for you no matter what. You're not messed up or broken. You've gone through some really heavy shit and may need some time to recuperate, but don't let what happened break you. Don't build walls up to shut us out, share your feelings and thoughts with us. Build beautiful bridges over these difficult times and cross them as you continue your journey through life" She finally looks at me as the tears begin to drip down her face.

I stand up and walk closer so I can hug her. I can almost feel her shattering in my arms as her sobs get louder and she pulls me in tighter, not wanting to let go. We stay like that until she finally calms down.

"How about we go see what the girls are doing?" I extend my arm out for her to take my hand and she accepts it.
