Saturday night

Narrator's POV

The trip to the Hamilton's was a few days longer than originally planned since one of Normani's cousins missed her flight and her mother demanded to have her family there as long as possible. Two weeks after the couple left Miami, they finally returned. The second they walk through Dinah and Lauren's apartment, which has been more so Dinah and Mani's lately, they are ambushed by their three closest friends and quickly pulled into a tight group hug. Nothing ever runs completely smooth with this group of five, however, so the hug somehow manages to end in a dogpile on top of the couple that just arrived. 

After a few minutes of catching up, Camila and Lauren tell everybody that they have an announcement. The room goes quiet and nobody has any clue as to what this announcement is. Everybody grabs a seat and watches as the two intertwined their hands and sat down as if this is going to be something major. 

"So." Camila began, " We know you two just got back home, but I've been home for a few days now and I have already readjusted back into my normal life. Lauren and I had a talk and..." She pauses to look at her girlfriend to continue it for her. " We're going to Vero's club and Dinah's paying because she promised, so go get dressed and ready because we're leaving in twenty."

Before Dinah could retort, everybody gets up and rushes to get ready for their night out. She continues to sit on the couch and stares at her girlfriend for backup. Mani simply shrugs "Well, I guess we should get ready." As she walks out of the room, she hears a quiet mutter, "I only said one round, these bitches better pay up or I'm going broke."

All the bouncers and a lot of the workers know all of the girls at this point, so the entrance is a breeze to get through. Dinah offers to get their drinks and makes her way to the busy bar area. She meets a familiar gaze behind the counter and walks closer to talk to him. "Hey Big Rob- Robbie, my main man. I'm going to be straightforward here. Is there any chance we could get a round of whatever you're willing to give us on the house? These crazy people think I'm buying all night and you know how much they drink." 

She feels two hands wrap around her shoulders and tenses up as she turns around, ready to hit the pervert behind her. Thankfully she didn't turn around fist-first because it wasn't a creepy guy behind him. Instead, it was her friend, who happens to be the owner of the club, Vero. "Hey, Didn't mean to scare you D. I just talked to the girls and they said everything's on your tab tonight because you cheated or something?" Dinah fake scoffs in reply. "I didn't cheat, I was just slightly more informed in the matter than I let on. I won that bet fair and square, I'm just giving in to their allegations in order to congratulate the new couple and have a good night." Vero's face contorts with confusion momentarily, "What new couple? I thought you and Mani were already official?" 

Dinah realizes that the girls and her haven't been able to catch up with Vero in a while. "Oh shit, we never talked about this." She nods her direction towards the group and Vero's eyes follow. Ally and Normani are fighting over some food they managed to get a hold of while Camila and Lauren are stuck in all things camren, living in their own world and ignoring everything else around them. Camila is sitting on Lauren's lap facing her and look like they are discussing something with huge grins on their faces. 

"Holy shit, when did that start?" That causes Dinah to laugh until she begins to think about it. "I think they've had something going on since they met, but they didn't do anything about it until about a month or so ago."
