Kara's P.O.V

I smile down at our picture together and decide to put mine up later, I look over at Daniel and smile "Selfie on the car? Or is that going a bit to far? I mean, car selfies are dangerous" I say laughing.

He smiles and shakes his head, he then grabs my hand and intertwines it with his own "how about you put up a picture of us? I saw you didn't post anything yet, people are asking" he says smiling.

Fine.

We roll up to the Why Don't We house and I can hear music blaring from inside. When we get in I'm hit by the smell of smoke and I nearly choke, Daniel keeps me outside and sits the smoke out.

Turns out Ellison's friends are bad influences because Daniel walks out with Jack "why the hell were you smoking? Your father got sick from that stuff, are you an idiot?" Daniel yells at him annoyed.

Jack just pushes him away annoyed and I realize he's high too, I want to scream too "Jack, you can't seriously be high too, we need to get him out the back, this is bad" I say looking around for anyone that would notice us.

Daniel nods and we walk around the side of the house to the backyard, Jack hops in the pool "I cant believe this, she is out of control, I'm calling Taylor right now" Daniel says grabbing his phone out.

"Why would she be to blame? Jacks the one who was smoking whatever it was."

"And who do you think he got it off? Ever since you stopped coming around he's been with her."

"No, he was with her before I stopped, and you had Ellison and I was invisible."

"I swear if one more person I care about hurts themselves, I may give up."

I automatically push the sleeves down over my cuts on my arms, but Daniel grabs my wrists and pulls the shirt up. I'm surprised when he places his lips on the cuts and can't help but blush.

He lets my arm go and turns back to Jack like it was nothing, which it wasn't, was it? "I've stopped, I only did it when I was scared, and two years ago when I lost my brother" I say hugging myself.

He looks at me with curious eyes and I know what he's going to ask, I wanna tell him "He was so kind, he loved everything, everyone, even when he was mad, he had a glow about him. When we were younger he was always healthier than me, less sick, he would help me get through the disease. It was so rare that we both got it, the doctor said I had it worse, but he still died, he gave me his life" I say quietly.

Daniel grabs me and I cry into his shoulder when I move away, his shoulder is wet "it's okay, I'll just say it's sweat, I haven't ran since the day I met you actually" he says smiling and I laugh.

"We should go running! That would be amazing, running with you again."

"What the hell is happening here?"

Daniels P.O.V

I turn around to find Ellison standing in the back doorway, I wave at her and she's annoyed "why are you hanging out with my boyfriend? You posted pictures like a couple" she says crossing her arms.

I smile and stand up hugging her tightly. God I wish she didn't play the girlfriend role so good.
