Chapter 16: Mine

Kara's P.O.V

I let go of Daniel quickly, my face as red a tomato and he steps away too rubbing his neck "hey Corbyn... Christina, I didn't know you would get here until tomorrow" he says awkwardly.

I smile up at the brown haired girl above me and smile, she's really pretty, Corbyn did good "I can early to surprise Corbitch, you must Kara, Corbyn mentioned you" she says walking down the stairs to greet me.

She takes me out back and I learn so much about her, that she literally becomes my best friend. I swear if Corbyn ever breaks up with her, I may have to punch his nose in to have her back.

We spend all day together and it's honestly the best thing ever, when we head in Daniels there "hey, wanna go see a movie? There's probably not much on, but maybe there's a romance" he says joking.

I laugh and nod, I grab my purse and shoes and we head out straight away, I'm glad me and Daniel are "together" again. It's not official yet, just like last time, but I'm hoping because of last time, he'll ask me soon.

Daniels P.O.V

I feel my phone vibrate and I know it's from the boys, earlier I asked them to set a few things up. They agreed but said I need to get Kara out of the house and ditch her last minute to get back.

I put my phone away and look at Kara, how am I going to do this? Wait I have an idea "hey, Kara, the boys texted me saying they need me at home, you should stay" I say smiling.

She nods then looks at me and smiles I can't help but lean over and kiss her cheek "I can walk back anyway, or catch an Uber home, or am I coming over your house after?" She asks blushing.

"Well, you can come over later, if you want to that is, it would be way better."

"Ok, I'll walk back in half an hour, send me a text when you get home ok?"

I nod and kiss her passionately before standing up and walking out of the theater, getting dirty looks on the way. When I get home I message Kara as promised and quickly get into a suit and grab my guitar.

She sends me a message saying the movie finished and she's nearly here, I send her one back saying the doors unlocked.

Kara's P.O.V

I open the door skeptically, his messages were very vague, I wondered if he was angry at me, then I see the rose petals on the ground. I can't breathe for a few seconds, then I decide to follow them and they lead me outside.

I can just make out people standing in the shadow of a tree, then before my eyes it lights up with fairy lights. Their scattered everywhere across the backyard making them look like stars agains the black night sky.

I nearly cry when I see Daniel standing next to a small picnic blanket. In a suit. He grins and I run towards him. He envelopes me in a tight hug and kisses my forehead, he tells me to sit down and I do laughing.

Suddenly the other boy, Corbyn, Jack, Zach and Jonah appear and Corbyn starts strumming a guitar. Then Daniel starts singing a song I've never heard before, but I love it completely.

When they're finished, Daniel gets down on his knees in front of me and grins, his eyes shining "Kara Bell Williams, I have wanted to ask this question for a while now, and I know, this may be far fetched and you probably will say no, but will you be my girlfriend?" He asks smiling.

I nod and burst into tears, Christina pops out of nowhere holding her vlog camera saying she got it all on video. I smile and wrap my arms around Daniel, we've been through months of pain, but I'm finally able to call me Mine.
