The next morning, as the boat advanced on the Sinnoh region, my team and I stood above deck, my arms crossed as I leant against the rail. After last night the salty air was a welcome feeling, however uncomfortable the ocean made me. I averted my eyes completely from the murky depths and simply reminded myself it wouldn't be long until I was back on dry land.
"To all passengers - The boat will be arriving in 10 minutes. I repeat, the boat will be arriving at the Sinnoh Region's Sunny Shore City in ten minutes." The loud speaker cackled, his staticky voice drumming at my ears.
This was it, no turning back now. I brushed some of my straight brown hair back under my pink hoodie - there is no way I'm going to allow people to recognise me. Unfortunately as champion of Kanto, Johto and Hoenn I'm recognisable to pretty much anyone and with my newest journey on the way, the last thing I wanted was to be swarmed by my 'fans'.
As I looked out over the sea on the deck of the ship, my deep sapphire eyes shone in the sunlight, the amethyst flecks within them sparkling as well. A breeze blew through the deck of the ship, giving me a chill and sending my light brown hair billowing around my face, regardless of it being hidden in my pink hoodie and half of my hair being in a ponytail. It didn't help that my black singlet with white straps was so thin - the sea breeze really freezes up your skin. The water splashed up against the boat, gently rocking it and nearly splashing my black skinny jeans and my favourite sneakers in a black, white & pink pattern. I had to keep my good trusty dark blue Pokébelt secure so that my Pokéballs didn't fall off. I started to call my Pokémon back into their Pokéballs - my skin was already olive, I didn't need more of a tan.
First was Twilight, my shiny Zoroark. She nodded and disappeared inside her ball. My Guardian, Absol, raised his head confidently whilst showing off his Mega Stone before disappearing, followed closely by my Gallade - Sensei the oldest by age of my team. Last, but not least, was Tempist - my Dragonite. Cooing, he disappeared as well. Hope remained on my shoulder, watching the Sinnoh regions advance with calm amber eyes while my little Mew sat atop my head, invisible to the naked eye. I stuffed my hands in my pockets, closing my eyes as I advanced closer and closer to my original home.
I'd long dreaded this, returning to the region I was born in. My departure wasn't exactly easy for me either, way back when I was only 8 years old. My abilities made it dangerous for me to remain in the same region as my father and even going back now, I knew it wasn't the best idea with mysterious bad incidents continuing to happen even after the fall of Team Galactic years ago.
Letting out a brief sigh, I moved closer to the deport point, wanting to hurry off the ship as soon as possible and trying to ignore the Beautifly in my stomach. Other then my continuing journey to become champion of each region, I had another reason for going to Sinnoh next or all regions. I'd be reuniting with my sibling whom I hadn't seen since I was 5... well we were half siblings and we'd each lived with our fathers after our mother abandoned us both.
An old lady standing by smiled and tried to catch my eye but I avoided her completely. She did not take the hint however and cleared her throat. "Ever been to Sinnoh before sweetie?"
I rolled my eyes before turning to look at her, despite my normal avoidence of people, I wasn't the type of person to brush off the elderly. "I was born here, moved away quite some time ago."
"Oh that is sweet." She smile. "My husband was born here, I'm visiting my grandkids who live in Sinnoh, I haven't seen them since they were wee little tots."
"That's nice." I replied in a pointed manner, quite possibly coming off ruder then I intended.
Feeling my heart rate increase, I excused myself and moved towards the back, leaning against the wall of cabins as I swung my backpack off my back and took a long drink from my bottle.
~You did better.~ Hope commented reassuringly.
Ignoring her, I straightened and slipped my water back into my bag. Faith gently pat my head as the boat gave a sudden but soft lerch. My eyes flicked up as the Beautifly bounced around once more, here we were, back in Sinnoh once more.
