Chapter 19: New friends

I walked into Pastoria City... well actually more liked stormed into Pastoria City. Silver and Destiny following far behind. Not one was in a very good mood since we'd basically fought all morning... I gritted my teeth at the thought of it.

"We are not staying in Pastoria City over night and that's final!" I growled.

"We can't keep sleeping outside!" Silver replied in the same tone.

I crossed my arms and shook my head in annoyance, my light brown hair swaying in the movements since it was free from my hood. "I agreed to let you travel with me if we went by my rules and rule 1 is to avoid all contact possible with people."

"Why are you so afraid of contact with people?" Silver's tone soften slightly

I looked at the ground. "You wouldn't understand." I said through the grit of my teeth.

"Oh come on! Your not still blaming your father are you!? Toughen up princess and get used to it!" Silver said, slightly mockingly.

That's when he went to far.

"You know what? You can just jump on a hole and die for all I care! You have no idea what I've been through and you never will!" With that I turned and stormed off not caring if the other two were following or not.

~You handled that well.~ Mel said sarcastically, rolling her eyes.

"Shut up you." I hissed.

Hope and Trust just shook there heads and Faith was quiet for once, thank Arceus

I stomped over to the Pokemon centre and entered before asking, more like ordering, Nurse Joy to heal my Pokemon. I waited impatiently for her to call me to say my Pokemon were healed with wasn't improving my mood. I tapped my foot against the ground for the what seemed like an eternity for my Pokemon to be healed.

When they were done I practically snatched my Pokemon from Nurse Joy and left the Pokemon Centre. Not caring that Silver had caught up and was now following.

He caught my arm and forced me to face him. "Emma... Listen. I-I'm sorry, what I said was out of line."

I tore myself from his grasp and glared at him before I turned away, walking into the gym without a word. He can't just say something like that and except me to just forgive him, things just don't work like that for me. After a moment of standing there, he sighed and walked back to the Pokemon centre.

When I entered the Leaders room I saw that there was already a battle in place. I growled in annoyance of having to wait and I sat down in the bleaches to wait, watching the battle out of boredom. I noticed that there was another girl in the bleaches to who was watching me with interest, not that I paid much attention to her.

I noticed she had really short, plain brown hair and emerald green coloured eyes. She looked about 12-13 years old to me but I could be wrong. Her casual blue shirt had a red plaid pattern and her blue jeans gave a sorta rural feel to her outfit. A Pika-yellow backpack sat at her feet with many small Pokemon charms hanging from the zips. Her Pokébelt held an array of small pockets as well as a few Pokéballs clipped along the side as well.

She looked at me and smiled. I simply ignored her and looked towards the battle taking place. The girl shrugged and followed my gaze to whom I'm assuming was her friends battle.

The girl battling had dark blonde hair streaked with a nice limey-sorta green which made her blue eyes stand out. Her white top had green and blue detail in a snowflake like fashion, not obvious snowflakes but you could make them out if you looked hard enough. Her denim shorts matched her shirt, completely they outfit almost perfectly. Her white bag had been tossed to the side showing that she had rushed into the battle which out bothering to see where it was.

She seemed to be winning the battle with her Pokemon I believed was called a Servine, a Pokemon from Unova if I'm correct.

"Lets wrap this up! Slither use Razor Leaf!" Angel ordered.

~Yesss Angel.~ I'm guessing Slither hissed, he obeyed his trainer and used a well executed Razor Leaf knocking out Wake's Flotzel

Wake retuned his fainted Pokemon and gave an impressed smirk to Angel as he made his way around the field to his opponent. "You battled well Angel, here take the Fen badge as a symbol to show that you have beaten me."

The girl next to me started to clap. I did the same, more of a slow 'hurry up please' clap though. Angel looked over at us and bowed, not getting my point.

"Thank you, thank you. You're to kind."

She and her friend made their way over to me making me groan internally. Great they want to talk to me.

"So my names Eliza and this is my friend Angel." The brunette said cheerfully.

"Hi." Angel waved.

"Emma." I growled.

"How many badges do you have Emma?" Eliza asked not getting my annoyance.

"Four, five if you'd let me get to my battle."

"Angel and I have five." Eliza beamed.

"Hey why don't we travel together?" Angel smiled, clapping her hands together as if it was a genius idea.

"No thanks. I don't travel with other people an the two I am traveling with I can barely stand."

"Aww please?" Eliza pouted.

"No."

"Pretty please?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because I don't know you."

"That's no way to make friends."

"I don't need friends."

"Says who?"

"Me."

"That's not nice."

"I don't care."

"She's not going to stop until you agree. That's how I got stuck with her." Angel butted in.

Eliza nodded and gave a pleading smile.

I signed and pinched the bridge of my nose. "Fine, but get on my nerves and you're both gone. I do not like this idea what do ever."

Eliza jumped into the air and fist pumped. "Yeah!" She cheered.

"Now if you'll excuse me." I stood up and walked towards my side of the battle field so I could battle Wake. Thankfully he'd healed his Pokemon with I was 'talking' with Eliza and Angel.

"Let's get this over with." I sighed, pulling Thunder's Pokéball from my belt.

Edit: so I edited this chapter since in the other books Emma's personality is was different to this books and I thought I'd make it a bit more similar to what it is now.

The new characters came from Angel_the_lover95 (Angel) and StarfishGurl (Eliza)
