The side effects of the bourbon shade most of last night's memory into something unrecognizable. But the look on Xander's face as I stood outside the window is etched in my mind. My shot at redemption was gone and here I sat, back in hell.

I'd love nothing more than to have a hand in granting the wish I was sending to Xander. But I could only hope they would be fulfilled. I had no wishes to speak of. I bargained away everything to get here, to her. It never dawned on me to save one in case she ever took her love away.

Xander,

Three Wishes (I'll keep it simple because someone once accused me of being wordy – okay – starting now)

I wish I will be able to right our wrongs.

I wish for the chance to show you I am no longer pretending to be the man you loved because I have actually grown into that man.

I wish you love.

Love still suits you, Xander. Please don't let your experience with me keep you from finding it again.

Forever yours,

Vincent
