It was late afternoon when Jonathan knocked on the door for me to come outside. I came out there to talk to him. "What's up?" he said.

"Nothing." I replied. He started talking about his day at school. Then, Keon came from around the corner. "Hey." he greeted us.

"What's up?"Jonathan said. I didn't respond. Keon looked at me and said,"You can't speak?"

"I didn't know that you were talking to me." I replied.

"Whatever." he said

"Whatever." I said back. Then, Keon rolled his eyes at me. I turned back to Jonathan. "What's that one boy's name with the curly, blonde hair?" I asked.

"You mean Tommy?" Jonathan responded.

"Yeah, I guess." I said. Keon looked at me and smiled. "Why? Do you like him or something?" he asked.

"No," I lied,"I just wanted to know what his name was." Keon looked like he didn't believe me.

I had already known what his name was. I was just askimg to make sure I was right. Even though he called me a bitch, I still liked him. I thought about him everyday. I didn't see Tommy after that first day with him on the bus. it was strange. I had hoped that he didn't move away.

At school one day, I decided to tell my friends about Tommy. When I described him to them, they all had the same stuff to say. They mostly said that he sounded fine or sexy. They didn't see him like I did though. I asked a few people what it meant when you saw someone and your whole world just slowed down. Some people said that it was love, others either didn't know or care. I knew it had to be love. I knew this because thats how it happened in the movies.  The girl sees the guy and everything goes in slow motion. They meet and fall in love. Or the other way around. That is how it happens, right?
