School was finally out. I was so happy. I went home that day. It was so hot outside. I stayed in the house all day. My mom would leave for almost a whole day and come back late at night. I never knew where she was going.
She stayed home today. It was later that night when she decided to do my hair. She was about to start when she remembered that she needed to go to the store first. I was texting Tommy before we left. It was pouring down outside. We ran to the car and drove up to the store.
When my mom and I returned, I got a message from Tommy. I was about to look at it, when my mom's boyfriend said that somebody came over looking for me. I asked him what the person looked like. He told me that he couldn't tell who it was because it was dark outside and they had a dark hoodie on. I felt disapponted. I hoped that it was Tommy. I read the text. I asked Tommy if he walked over here in the rain. He told me that he did I felt bad for him. Something didn't seem right, though. Tommy wanted to come over or for me to come over. I told him that I was getting my hair done.
