Chapter 27: In New York

Alexus Kent POV
"Are y'all ready or what?!" I yelled but then held on to my stomach.

"See they always making me shout." I spoke to my stomach.

"Yes, we are." Omarion came down the stairs with the kids behind him.

"Right, let's go!" I wobbled to the front door.

Kash got the door and we were all out of the house making our way to the car. Today was the day of my appointment. Just a regular check up to find out if the baby is alright. We got in the car and drove to go the hospital. I closed my eyes for a little while but I then drifted off to sleep.

"Mama.." I heard.

"Wake up, we're here." Romain said.

I opened my eyes and got out of the car. I took a hold of Omarion's hand and we walked into the hospital.

"Okay, Mrs Kent!" The Doctor walked in.

"Yes, that's me." I smiled nervously.

"Okay, so you're here for your check up.." She looked down at the files.

"Do you know what your having?" She asked.

"No, we wanna find out when I actually give birth to my baby." I rubbed my stomach and smiled.

"Alrighty then, let's get started." She smiled and done whatever she had to do.

Once she started, she was trying to look for the baby. We all just smiled at each other wondering why it took her so long to talk. I had a feeling that something bad was going to happen.

"I'm..just looking for the heartbeat. Can't seem to find it.." She furrowed her brows.

"T-the babies heartbeat..?" I gulped.

"Yeah.." She said looking at Omarion and I.

I felt like there was a bulge in my throat and it wouldn't go. My grip on Omarion's hand tightened and the kids began to pull themselves towards each other giving hugs. 1 minute passed and she still could seem to find the heartbeat. I felt a tear slip down my eye and Omarion wiped it away with thumb then kissing my knuckles. We all closed our eyes and we then managed to hear the heart beat.

"Ah..!" We let out a huge sigh together.

"Oh my--..!" I cut myself off wiping my tears.

"There we go..The heartbeat." The doctor smiled.

"Your baby had me for a minute." She chuckled nervously.

"Yeah, I know right." I sighed again.

Omarion Kent POV
The baby had me scared for a moment. I stepped out of the room whilst they were in there talking to the doctor.

"What did the doc say?" Orlando asked through the phone.

"That the baby's fine and there's nothing wrong wit' the baby." I sighed.

"The baby had me scared Orlando. I've never been that scared in my life. Yeah I've been held at gun point many times but this, this is something else. My baby could've died." I told Orlando.

"You've got nothing to worry about lil bro." He tells me.

"Yeah, I've got nothing to worry about." I say as they exit the room and walked towards me.

"I'll call you later." I tell him.

"Who was that?" Alexus questioned.

"It was Orlando." I slid my phone into my pocket.
