“Beautiful, can we hang out again? It won’t be a date or anything like that”, Jake said hurriedly.

“Sure. I don’t see a reason why not”, I answered.

We kept talking like chatter boxes. I thought about our first date. It was not cliché at all and I almost had a mark on my clean record. I had kissed him on the cheek to show the other girl he was my date. I didn’t think much of that then. I had so much fun that day. When he had dropped me of we almost kissed. His lips were millimeters away from brushing lightly on mine. Today the heated and passionate make out session made things worse. The first time he kissed me was tender and sweet. My thoughts came back to those many times where he came close to kissing my lips. He is a luring seduction trap that once he captures you he has no need for you anymore. No more kisses. It doesn’t matter how much I desire those kisses. It’s better to be safe.

“What are you thinking about?” he asked curiously.

“Nothing much”, I lied.

It seems like I do this constantly. I am horrible.

“You are such a liar”, Jake stated.

“I’m not lying”, I denied.

“Wow. There you go again. No really. What is on your mind?” he said.

“Fine. It’s just…” I paused.

“What?” he said impatiently.

“Someone’s impatient”, I teased.

“Oh come one. Please, and you aren’t?” he said.

“Okay. Okay. I was just thinking about that one date we had”, I blurted.

Oh crap. Sure, open your big mouth Leslie. A grin began to etch itself on his face.

“Oh really”, he said.

“Yeah”, I said looking away.

“So what part were you thinking about?” he said.

“Every part and how I had a bunch of fun”, I said.

“Which was your favorite part?” Jake said.

“When we wrote on the exhibits”, I responded.

“Mine was when I took you home and we almost kissed”, he said smirking.

I was befuddled. Say what? I bet my mouth dropped to the ground. He winked at me causing a blush to finally appear. He did that intentionally. That little… I’m not even going to say it.

“Please don’t start Jake”, I breathed.
