Janice got distracted by a guy and left us. Oh no. Even more now. Cassy loves to be in my love life. Well, my non existing love life. I rolled my eyes and scowled when she pointed out some guys.

“Come on Les. He could be your future husband”, she whined.

“No. I don’t want a husband”, I said.

“But then you’ll become an old cat lady”, she insisted.

“No. That’s my final word”, I said.

“Fine but your beauty will go to waste”, Cassy warned playfully.

“Whatever”, I sighed.

Eventually she gave up and went to go dance with a random guy. The humidity in here was amazing. I got bored and sat at the “bar”. No alcoholic beverages were allowed here but some people still sneak it in. To my surprise a few guys asked me to dance and flirted with me. They all got rejected. Don’t blame me. I’m not wasting my time with any of the losers here. Forget that. Someone caught my eye. Jake. What the hell?! Did he come here because I told him I would? He looked sexy. I hated to admit it but I’m not going to lie. Dark jeans and a button up shirt can do wonders for him. His hair was naturally tousled but looked fantastic. He looked like the finest architecture I’ve ever seen. I bit my lip unknowingly. His eyes connected with mine. Oh shit. A smirk appeared on his face as he strutted towards me. My breathing hitched but I controlled it. He stood in front of me, looking me up and down. When his eyes found mine I thought I saw a flash of desire.

“You look even more beautiful than you normally do”, he said staring at me straight in the eye.

“ Thanks?” I said.

He chuckled. What?

“What I meant to say is that you look sexy”, Jake said.

My eyes widened and I felt myself become flustered. Amusement wandered in his eyes.

“What are you doing by yourself?” he asked.

He was too close. I could smell his cologne. It made my mouth water and the heat off his body gave me shivers.

“Waiting for my friends to finish having fun”, I replied, trying to appear aloof.

“Hm. Interesting. Would you like to dance with me”, Jake said smirking.

A glimmer of mischief was in his eyes. I kind of didn’t want to.

“Sure”, I reluctantly said.

He took my hand and led me to the dance floor. In the sea of bodies he held onto me tightly. His body was pressed against mine. I wanted distance but he wouldn’t have any of it. His warm breath hit my neck. The urge to get even closer came to me. His hands were on my hips. The dress is thin so it was as if I was bare. I lifted my head to look at his handsome face. His eyes cradled many emotions. He sometimes was impossible to read. Before I knew anything, his lips clashed with mine. He pulled me closer. His lips moved sensually against mine. He played with my lips and tackled my tongue. I grabbed his silky hair bringing him to me. He gripped me tightly to him. I could feel his body. As our lips and tongues were practically stuck together like glue, we kept dancing. The more I got into it the less I cared about everything but this. Our tongues played and we nipped at our lips. It was like a drug, an addiction. Even when I felt his arousal, that didn’t stop me. I don’t know why. I couldn’t let him go. Even though he is a player I can’t help but want him. When we broke apart our ragged breathing could only be heard between us. Our foreheads were touching and our eyes kept staring at each other. The silence between us said a million words.
