Chapter 21 - Honeymoon (UPDATED)

(Charli's POV):

We landed in Paris for our honeymoon the day after the wedding. We had the most expensive suite booked out for a week, which we luckily didn't have to pay for as the manager owed Jim a favour and I could not be any more excited.

On the first day Jim took me shopping for whatever I wanted. We ended up buying some jewellery, lingerie and some food. Then he took me back to the hotel for a long night of sex.

The latter continued for most of the first week. When we weren't in our hotel room, we were either having something to eat or we were walking around Paris, doing everything that tourists do.

On the second week, Jim surprised me with tickets for Disneyland. This week we spent more time out of the hotel than before. We did nearly all the rides in this time, there were one or two that we never managed to do. On the final day that we were there, after doing some rides, Jim took me to watch one of the shows and then surprised me with a pretzel, some ears and one or two cuddly toys.

It was about a week after we came back when I started feeling not like myself. I felt really shaky when I woke up, really hot and feverish and vomited on some days. Jim was working away this week so I was on my own, other than Phil the driver.

Later that week I turned up to my appointment at the doctors office to find out what was wrong with me. It was hard to believe I missed the signs when she told me, but I knew I needed to tell Jim as soon as he got back.

I came up with a plan and headed into town to collect the things I needed.

(Jim's POV):

I had been gone for over a week now and for the sake of my work this week, could not have any contact with my new wife. I had grabbed a doughnut for her when I stopped off for food on the way back and was so excited to see her.

I twisted my key in the door and walked in. I switched on the light and heard her yell "Surprise!".

I walked over to her, lifted her in the air and kissed her passionately. "What's all this for?" I asked her.

"So, I felt awful this week and went to the doctor to find out why. Her outcome was pretty simple..." she rooted around in her pocket and presented me with a little box. I opened it, inside was a positive pregnancy test. "We're going to have a baby."

I was so happy that I lifted her in the air again and spun her around. As soon as her feet hit the ground again I kissed her then pulled her into a massive hug. I was going to be a father.
