Order was rarely a term to describe the state of affairs on Mount Olympus. The Gods bickered over everything: mortals, land, battles, lovers, and most importantly, power. Constant coups threatened to shatter the fragility of the regime, with even the gods and goddesses' children ganging up on and fighting against them.

After centuries of turmoil, seven godly children succeeded in their attempt to overthrow the Olympian gods, locking each of them in Tartarus. These children then assumed the roles of their parents, vowing never to let this type of fighting happen again.

The new Gods of Olympus began their reign, with two gods in particular at the stern. Kim Seokjin took over as Apollo, favoring music, art, poetry and archery, seating himself in one of the thrones. Kim Namjoon took over as Zeus, leading the heavens with his rule over the earth. No one else had a problem with these two running the show, so they allowed the couple to take their place.

They each claimed a god for themselves. Taehyung claimed storms and the seas, naming himself Poseidon. Hoseok took his role as Helios, the sun god, matching his lively and bright personality. Jungkook took the role of Heracles, patroning sports and becoming the protector of mankind.

Jimin chose Eros, the god of sexual attraction. His looks and attitude fit the role, so the gods willingly let him take it. This, of course, left Yoongi to take the role of Hades, ruler of the Underworld.

Everyone followed their respective roles and conditions went back to normal again.

Also, peace was restored.

Mostly.
