Chapter 2

We had to choose between getting out of there or run to the house. If we didn't make a choice fast we were dead.

"SARA! we have to get out of here, NOW!" I demanded.

She just stood there frozen in one spot. Sara was starring at them as they came, she was in shock.

I grabbed her arm and through her in the car. There was terror on her face as I pulled out fast and hit a few of the dead.

"Are we gonna live." Sara asked.

"I hope so, Sara we have to be more careful." I told her.

We watched as they got smaller in the distance. Sara looked petrified, but I have to admit I was also.

We spent two hours on the road not looking back as we went. In those two hours we went through towns, and cities. We could see all the dead walk around some chasing us others stared.

"Amber, I'm hungry."

"I am too, we should stop soon."

" But where?"

"I don't know Sara, I don't know."

It was starting to get brighter out but it still seemed dark. It must have been from the weather changes. the changes in the weather should have been the first hint of the disease.

"Sara, we may not stand a chance with these dead things." I sighed.

"What do you mean?" Sara asked.

"They can run fast, they can find you in minutes, and they can here you if you talk loud."

"Don't think like that, your just paranoid." Sara told me.

"Why are you so sure?"

"I just am."

For the next half hour we kept quiet. We didn't say anything to each other until we came across people.

"What do you think they want?" Asked Sara.

"I don't know." I told her.

We got out of the car and walked up to them. They went and searched us and searched the car.

"It's okay Jack they don't have any poison." One of the men said.

"Let's get them in then." Jack said.

We followed them in. I was hoping we could stay here because it looked safe. A shot was fired witch woke me from my thoughts.

"Hi I'm Jack."

"I'm Ethan."

"I'm Elisabeth, but you can call me Beth."

"And I'm Taylor."

"Who are you?" Beth asked us.

"Im Amber and this is Sara."

We introduced ourselves. They seemed very friendly. I felt safe here with them around and I could tell Sara did too.
