I walked up with tear stains on my cheeks, I couldn't help but think about the kid. He died and there was nothing I could do to save him. I felt guilty I have no clue why but I just did.
"Amber, we have to go get weapons." Jack said behind me.
"I know." I said after a few minutes.
Jack grabbed my arm and pulled me too him. He hugged me for a while. I couldn't look up at him.
I shook him off and started to leave, I walked out to the car and started it up. Sara watched me from the window, I could tell she had been crying too.
Jack came running out of the house and hopped in the car. I started it up and sped out of there.
We arrived at a gun shop, Jack got out first and walked carefully to the shop. I got out and just walked right in.
I saw a zombie and stabbed it in the head. Brains and blood came spewing out as I stabbed it threw.
I got blood all over my hands and my face. There was no point in caring I was just gonna get more blood on me anyway.
"Amber your acting strange." Jack said from behind me.
"I just, well I don't know, I'm so confused, tired, and I don't care about life." I told him.
Jack walked up behind me and whipped me around. He stared into my eyes and kissed me on the forehead.
"Just don't die." Jack whispered.
"I won't, I promise." I whispered back.
I walked away from him and grabbed a gun, I found the bullets for it and took them too. Jack grabbed a couple guns too. After we grabbed guns we got some knives.
There was a noise from outside and I froze in my spot.
"I think we're good." Jack said out loud.
"Shh, I heard something." I said cautiously.
Jack stopped and listened.
There it was again. I could tell he heard it this time too. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a horde of zombies running to us.
"We have to get out of here!" I shouted as we ran out the doors.
I dumped all the stuff in the car and jumped in. Jack threw everything in the back and hopped in too.
"Drive drive DRIVE!" Jack yelled at me.
I sped out of there as fast as I could. There was noway I was gonna stop driving.
"We need gas!" Jack exclaimed.
I looked at the gas meter and saw the tank was almost empty.
"There some in the garage at home." I said.
I kept speeding until we ran out of gas. We were twenty minutes away from the house, but I knew we would have to make two trips. One for the weapons, two for the car.
"Get out, grab the weapons and start walking." I demanded while I got out.
It's gonna be hard making it back in one piece if we're not safe.
