We waited for the doctor to start talking.
"Mr. and Mrs. Baramee, I'm afraid to inform you that your son's toxicology came back. It states that your son has Flunitrazepam or more commonly named roofies in his system. He also had Hudroxblutyric (GHB) also known as liquid ecstasy." The doctor paused, giving us time to process what she just said. I can not believe what we just heard.
"What?" Pa said. "Your telling me that my son is taking drugs?" He looked at Ma, then back at the doctor.
"No Mr. Baramee, that is not what I am saying at all. These are the kind of drugs that people give to someone when they are trying to take advantage of said person. The more common term for these kind of drugs are..." she looked at us with sympathetic eyes. "They call these kind of drugs "Date Rape" drugs. A lot of bad people give unsuspecting party goers drugs like these when they least expect it. More than likely some one put them in your son's drink when he was not looking."
Ma gasped and looked over at her unconscious son. "So your saying that he was given... date... rape drugs, does that means... that... that- he was-" she stopped before she could finish her sentence, and started sobbing uncontrollably. Pa healed on to her, making sure that she does not fall.
"This is were I have good new, it seems as though they did not get the chance to do what they had originally intended to do. Your son was not rapped."
I started crying after I finally I got the answer that I've wanted to hear for as long. "So I got there in time." I whispered to myself.
