A Night To Remember or A Night To Forget? {Forth&Beam}

Chapter 21

When Forth removed his lips from my forehead we looked into each other's eyes and smiled. We communicated without words. I guess after being together with someone for a while this just comes naturally. I always saw my parents doing this, but I never thought that I would ever find a person that I was able to communicate with, just by using our eyes.

"Wow! I definitely ship you guys, your way too cute together." Doctor Kim said smiling. I looked over at her, if this was an anime she would definitely have heart shaped eyes. "Anyway I have to go do my rounds, if you need anything please let us know." She said smiling at all of us.

"Thank you so much doctor." My mother said.

"Yes, thank you for all that you and your team have done for our son." Said my father, as he shakes her hand.

"It was not a problem at all." With that, she walked out of the room.

"Beam buddy, how do you feel?" Pha asked still holding onto N'Yo.

"I'm doing ok. My ribs hurt a little, and a slight headache. But other than that, I'm doing ok."

"Yeah, doctor Kim said that you have a few fractured ribs. So I can see why." Kit said

"Hmmm that explains it." I said rubbing my side, I looked over at Forth as I did. He looked angry and sad. "Forth, I'm ok don't worry please. A few fractured ribs and a black eye is all I walked away with. From what doctor Kim said, Mark was not as lucky, and look at you, your hand is in a cast. I'm scared to know what he looks like." I held on to Forth's left hand as I spoke.

"Ohh yeah speaking of." Pha said talking his phone out of his back pocket. "I say that prick when I went to go get the doctor, That's why I took so long to get back. She was checking on him, I asked her who he was and she told me. So I took a few pictures of him to show you." Pha handed me the phone, and everyone gathered around to take a look.

The guy that I see in these pictures handcrafted to the hospital bed looks nothing like the handsome cocky guy I met last night. His face is all swollen, he had two black eyes, he had a big bandage on his nose. He had bruises all over his face, and the parts of his arms that were not covered by the sheets also had bruises. This man in the picture is unrealizable. If Pha hadn't said it was Mark, I would have said there's no way it could be him. But it's definitely him.

I gave the phone to my father, and looked up at Forth who was standing behind him trying to get a look. Because of this guy right here I am sitting in this hospital bed, with nothing but a black eye and a few hurt ribs.  I was not rapped, beaten to a pulp, or killed. God only knows what would have happened to me if he hadn't come for me. I know that Forth will always come for me no matter what. 'How do I let him know how much I love and appreciate everything that he does for me?'

Forth is always here for me, no matter what. Even when I'm the biggest jerk to him, which is more often than not; he is always by my side. I know that I'm not the easiest person to get along with, much less to be in a relationship with. But here is Forth he would never leave me. I love him so much, and everyday he makes sure that I know how much he loves me.

Forth looked up front the phone, and our eyes made four. I smiled at him, and he gave me a small smile in return. I gesture for him to come to me, and he did with no hesitation.

Forth came and sat next to be on the bed, and took hold of my hand. I rest my head on his shoulder, and he put his head on top of my head. "I love you Forth." I whispered, so he would be the only one who heard me.

"I love you too Beam, with all of my heart." He whispered back at me.

"You kicked his ass babe." I said chuckling.

"No on touches my baby... When I walk up and saw..." Forth paused and took a few breaths. I gripped his hand tighter letting him know I'm right here for him. "...Saw him standing over your... your unclothed body I just lost it. I blacked out, all I saw was red. I wanted to kill him, I don't think that I've ever wanted anything else so badly in my entire life. All I wanted was to see the life escaping from his eyes. The sister May, I think you called her?"

"Yeah." I said when he looked at me making sure of her name.

"Yeah, I didn't mean to hit her, but when she jumped on my back I just wanted her off so I could keep punching him. So I brought my arm back, and accidentally elbowed her in the nose. But you know I didn't even care, and now I still don't even care. I would do it over and over again if it meant I would be able to save you. I will do anything to protect you Beam, no matter what; and that's a promise."

I let go of his hand and looked into his eyes and I knew he was telling the truth. He always tells me the truth. I put my face into his chest, and wrapped my arms around his waist. Forth flinched a little in pain before he brought his arms around me. Being mindful of my ribs. He is in pain, and still all he thinks about is me.

"Forth thank you for all that you do. I love you beyond words." Forth brought me closer and kissed my head.

{Ohhh BTWs this is a Forth&Beam story, so if you were wondering why the other characters don't have much dialogue that is why. I'm focusing on them.💕}
