We were flying through the air, it was a relatively calm day which I was glad for, Katara was commenting on the clouds, wondering what it would feel like to jump in them. I was carving my engagement necklace though it was noticeable that I was doing it to Sokka and Katara, Aang had no idea what I was doing. But he was curious, but I wasn't in the mood to tell him and I expressed that vigorously.

Katara when she first saw me carving she seemed to fall into deep thoughts and when she resurfaced she blushed deeply and giggled and I frowned in confusion but didn't ask why she was acting like that. "Maybe you should give it a try." Sokka teased but I didn't find it funny and kicked him in the shin. "Ow! I was joking!" he whined while I still glared at him. "I'll try it!" Aang cheered before jumping off of Appa and into the clouds his glider in his hand as he went.

(A/N: The pic up top is what Marius is carving.)

Sokka and Katara looked over the side wondering where he went when he was coming up on the other side soaking wet. "Turns out the clouds are made of water." using his airbending he aired out his clothing till they were dry and Momo was fluffy. Noticing a blackened forest they theorized about what it could be. Walking along Appa's back I sat where Aang usually sits and guided the Bison towards the blackened forest.

-

Standing in the charred remains of a forest, Aang looked depressed as Sokka looked at the ground. "Aang, are you okay?" Katara asked from next to me. "Fire Nation! those evil savages make me sick! They have no respect-" picking up a small rock I pitched it at Sokka nailing him in the arm to shut him up. "Ow!" "Shhh!" I hissed and Katara went over to Aang. Sitting in the ashes, Aang whined about how he couldn't stop the fire nation from attacking.

But I was getting tired of his bellyaching. "You don't like it! Stop whining about it and do something. You want to stop the Fire Nation then get to the north pole faster and learn Water Bending, that's how you'll help." I snapped while walking by him to go see if there were any more areas that were attacked.

-

Going to the nearest village I was approached by an older gentleman. "Young man, did you come in on that bison I saw earlier?" not knowing his allegiance I played dumb, "Bison? What's that?" lifting his walking stick he hit me in the head. "I'm old, not stupid, and neither are you. Don't worry we won't turn you in to the fire nation we have something we fear even more than them." I rubbed my head and frowned.

After explaining everything to me I brought him to Aang. "When I saw the flying bison I thought it was impossible but those markings...are you the Avatar?" unsure as to confirm it Aang looked to me and I nodded making him nod and smile. "I explained to the young man behind me that my village desperately needs your help he didn't want to enlist your help without talking to you first." Leaving Nala and Appa on the outskirts of the village we went with the elder.

-

Coming into the village several of the houses were destroyed and some looked like they were barely even strong enough to last another second. "This young person is the Avatar." the elder introduced." a middle-aged man came and smiled at us, "So the rumors of your return are true." bowing he continued his greeting, "It is the greatest honor of a lifetime to be in your presence." bowing back Aang smiled, "Nice to meet you too." after a moment of silence Aang asked,

"So, is there something I can help you with?" the man shrugged, "I'm not sure," the elder stepped up to the man and frowned, "Our village is in crisis! He's our only hope," he said to the man who nodded, turning back to us, he explained to us what he already told me. But I knew it was something only Aang would be able to do. "Are there any houses you want fixed I'm pretty good with my hands if you want some help." the man nodded and stood with me by the door.

"The houses closest to this main building, those are the ones that are not as run down if you can make them strong and structurally sound we'll be able to finish the rest. Just make sure you're done before the sun sets." I nodded "Okay, no problem." leaving the main building I went to one of the first houses and got started. I didn't have anything to make walls but I was able to strengthen out the foundations of the walls so when the villagers did start to rebuild it would be easier on them.

-

Finishing just as the sunset, I walked by Aang, snickering as I went, on my way to the main building. As I was coming up to the stairs I could hear the beast destroying more of the village. I rolled my eyes as I knew tomorrow I'd have more work to do if and when Aang stopped this thing. "Marius! Help Aang!" Sokka shouted, scratching the back of my head I sighed. "Fine, but you and Katara stay inside, and don't come out for anything. I mean it Sokka!" he nodded and I ran to grabbed Aang.

Getting over to Aang he tried to tell me to go back but I scoffed at him. "Not happening, we'll fight him together." waterbending some water from a nearby water barrel I attacked Hei-Bei and got its attention. "But I don't want to fight him." Aang said but Hei-Bei snatched me up and ran back into the forest with Aang gliding in after him.

-

Wiggling to get free, I saw Aang following us on his hang-glider. "Do something, you idiot!" I shouted at him, getting back to the charred forest area, Aang flew closer to me, "Hang on Marius!" reaching for me I reached back, and just as our hands touched something happened and I didn't see Aang anymore.

-

Everything was so very strange, one moment I was being captured by a giant spirit beast the next I'm being released by a giant panda. Stepping out of a tall section of bamboo I was instantly tackled into the ground by Katara and Sokka. "Marius! You're okay! We were so worried!" Katara cried as she sobbed into my shirt, "Why did you let that think take you!?" Sokka blubbered. "What are you guys talking about? That was a spirit I didn't let it do anything. Now get off before I make you." jumping off me I wasn't on my feet long.

Moments later I was knocked over by Nala who as she promised sat on me for leaving again. "It wasn't my fault this time, I sware! Nala! Get off! Please!" everyone laughed at me but I didn't find it funny to be under the butt of a Polar-bear dog. When she finally let me up we were loading up and Aang filled me in, on the whole, talking to Roku tomorrow at a fire temple on a Crescent Island. "Aang you do realize we will be entering enemy territory. It's not only dangerous for you but for me too."

He frowned, "Why for you?" sighing I pulled him off to the side and away from Sokka and Katara. "You can't tell them, but I'm a prince of the Northen Water Trible. If the Fire Nation got a hold of me it would be bad for my family." he gasped and nodded, "I understand, so when we go you'll stay with Appa and Nala while the rest of us go." I nodded, "good idea, I'll be your escape plan if you need one." he chuckled. "Yeah, definitely."

(A/N: This Chapter was short because Marius was captured and this book is going to be completely in his POV. So sorry. Again.

Also, I want to apologize for the late update I was in a bit of a rut and I'm having a hard time writing for both my Avatar stories so they will be fairly slow when it comes to updates. Again really sorry,

So I hope this chapter will tide you all over until I'm struck with more inspiration for the next chapter.)
