Book Two: Earth[Sick Day]

So it turns out that with all the travelling and stress of his fight with Azula weeks earlier and from all of his lack of sleep, Marius came down with a cold. The kind that knocks you flat on your ass for days on end and will only go away with the help of medicine and a doctor or healer. It didn't help that their healer is also the one who's sick and unconscious. There was only so much Iroh could do, 

So with a description of plants and a note book from Nala's saddle bag, Zuko went looking for what Iroh would need to help his boyfriend. Iroh sitting next to Marius, used his own chi to make Marius' chi circulate water and the healing tonics he'd already made work through his body. This helped a bit and it seemed to calm down Marius, but not enough to really be of help. Nala getting worried, went out looking for Zuko to help him,

Her mother instincts were telling her that her pup needed her and she would do anything for him. When she found Zuko he was comparing a photo to an actual plant, he looked up when he saw her and frowned, "What's wrong, girl?" he asked while cupping her face to meet her eyes, she whined and then nudged the book and looked over at a different bush, Zuko was a bit thrown, but when he looked where she did,

He was glad because she'd found what he needed, "Thank you, Nala," he said picking the plants and bagging them he moved on to the next ingredient, Nala cutting the search time by sniffing out the plant and then leading the way.

They were out for nearly the whole day, looking for the last thing when they came across a traveler, he was dressed in earth tones which told Zuko that he was a Earth nation citizen. But this citizen was a bit different, he wore healer's robes, "Sir, please," Zuko begged catching up to the older man, who was a bit startled by Zuko but he didn't run, "My companion is sick and needs medicine," Zuko explained briefly,

"Do you know where this plant is?" he asked showing the man the book, "Well your out of luck this particular herb is out of season, it's best if I see your friend," Zuko was instantly worried, he didn't want to lead danger to his uncle and sick boyfriend, plus they didn't have enough money for a healer. The man saw the conflict in Zuko's eyes, "Don't worry, I'm not one of those doctors that charges their patience," Zuko relaxed a bit,

But Nala still kept her eye on the older man, leading the man back to Marius and Iroh, the doctor was instantly at Marius' side, "By the spirits!" he gasped and knelt by Marius, "what? What's wrong?" Zuko asked worriedly, "I owe this man my life," the old man gasped, "What?" Zuko asked confused, "He saved me a few years back, I would have lost my arm if he hadn't been passing by," the man said, 

"I've been paying back his kindness by using my skill to help those that can't see healers and doctors, hoping it would be enough to pay back his kindness, I never thought I would be able to do it by helping him," the healer said then pulled his satchel off his back to dig through it, finding all the same herbs and plants that Zuko had gone looking for, used them to make a tonic for Marius as well as a slave for his arms,

Zuko seeing that the man was low on his own herbs split his collection with the man giving him a bit more and keeping the smaller amount for when Marius woke up, "Are you sure I can have these?" the man asked and Zuko nodded, "I feel that Marius would want you to keep helping others, even after paying your debt to him," the man nodded and stood up, "Thank him for me when he wakes up," the man said and Zuko nodded.

It was another three days before Marius woke up, Zuko had shifted under Marius so that the older male was cradled in Zuko's arms, the heat coming off of Zuko having been the reason that Marius broke his fever. Reaching out and gently touching Zuko's cheek made the firebender jump a bit but  when he saw Marius with his eyes open he was overjoyed. "Your awake!" he cheered softly to avoid waking his uncle,

Shifting him closer, Marius leaned up for a kiss, his hand tugging Zuko closer to get the kiss he wanted, not at all holding back his deep passion and the very deep kiss. Moaning softly into Marius' mouth Zuko had to pull back a bit to catch his breath, "What was...?" he gasped out, "For saving me, again," Marius said and Zuko squeaked out a soft, "Oh," Marius licked his lips and his eyes narrowed a bit, 

"Still not enough," he growled then pulled Zuko in for another kiss, this time going even deeper than before, using soft nibbles and much more tongue, shifting around, Marius pulled Zuko down to lay over him, straddled and leaning over Marius' torso. Marius had his hands all over Zuko, which caused him to become a bit feral, exactly what Marius wanted, Iroh having woken up to the soft mewls from within the little cave they used he crawled away to give them privacy.

(A/N: Sorry for the long wait and the short chap, but I finally felt inspired, I'll try my best to get out another chap, but this is a bit of a filler,)
