I sat in a canoe next to Sokka and Katara and smirked as I watched Sokka fool around unintentionally. "They're not getting away from me this time. Watch and learn Katara, Marius." Sokka said raising his fishing spear, "This is how you catch a fish." Katara looked at Marius and then to the water were a fish was swimming just under the surface. I watched her pull off her glove and started to raise the water with a swimming fish in it.
I rolled my eyes at her as she tried to get Sokka's attention "I could already smell it cooking." He said looking around the water face for fish. While Katara sat behind him with a fish caught in her waterbending. "Sokka I caught one." she said and then aimed the water over her brother's head, but them she lost focus and the water fell on Sokka soaking him and then her losing the fish. "Ah! Why is it that when you play with magic water, I get wet?"
Katara frowned at her big brother, "It's not magic water, it's waterbending." I nodded, "She's right little wolf, and with some serious practice she could be an amazing bender." I said and pulled up my own spear with several fish still wiggling about. "Ah! How did you do that?" Sokka roared pointing at me. "I used to live at the Northern water tribe. And fishing is something everyone learns."
Sokka didn't look impressed, he was never really impressed with me, not that; that was what I wanted but so long as he didn't leer at me anymore and trusted me to be around him and his people. I remember when I first got to the little village, I was six years older than the short thirteen-year-old, and he had almost attacked me when he saw me, his boomerang was much too big for his small fist.
Having disarmed him quite easily, he fell face first into the snow and for almost a week after I told him and his sister that their father had sent me to protect them, he still wouldn't talk to me. Katara's shout of fear pulled me from my mind, and out of habit, I used my waterbending to keep their boat from crashing while I navigated my own to follow them. They were so distracted by the bergs of ice that they weren't even paying attention to me.
But with Sokka's steering he had his boat crushed, now as they both sat on a thick piece of ice, I called to them, "Sokka! Katara! Are you okay!?" Katara stood and waved, "We're fine!" I sighed in relief, "Stay there, I'm coming to get you." She waved happily.

It took several minutes because I didn't use my bending and in that time, Katara and Sokka had started to argue so much so that her bending broke open a berg and creating a massive wave as the halves of the ice fell into the water. But as the water settled, I paddled over as quickly as possible. Only to be cut off by a giant ball of glowing frozen air. "Katara, get back here we don't know what that thing is!? Wait for Marius!" Sokka shouted,
But Katara's grunts and a dull thudding was her answer as I figured she wasn't listening. Bending over to them, I stopped when I came into view. Looking at what was glowing I frowned, "This is not going to end well." I grumbled and strapped my boat to the berg Katara continued to smack with Sokka's boomerang. Hitting it a final time air shot out and the two siblings flew in my direction, grabbing Sokka's hood I kept him from flying off as Katara collided with my chest.
Frowning as a bright light shot into the sky, I hoped none of the Fire Nation ships were in the area, because if they were, there would be trouble. As the beam faded, a boy no older than 12, stood on the rim of the ice, until he collapsed and Katara jumped to catch him. As she held him, Sokka, started to poke him in the head with the handle of his spear. Getting annoyed I held the handle just under the spike and stopped Sokka's poking.
When he tried to poke again I yanked the stick from his hand and smacked him over the head, giving him a lump. Katara thanked me and turned back to the boy, whom I could now tell was an Air Nomad. Opening his eyes he blinked and stared at Katara as if she were some sort of angel. I thought it was cute. "I have to tell you something." he said dryly. "What?" she answered softly. "Please...come closer." he mumbled stupidly.
