Book One: Water [Siege of the North part 2]

I hadn't realized that I had fallen asleep, but when I woke up felt the bed for Zuko, I knew he was gone, but there was something in his place, picking up a sheet of paper he had left behind, he explained that he left to avoid waking me because I looked like I needed it, also he wrote that it was Zhao that had sent the letter, which made me mad, getting up I raced out of my room, pulling on my shirt and belt as I went.

Racing through the halls, I heard warriors fighting and firebenders throwing their burning balls of fire, racing through all our warriors they started cheering and chanting for me as I ran and bent any firebender or attack away from them, when I reached the highest I could go, I started my defense, pushing, pulling twisting and shaping the water I pulled it up in front of the main gates, when it was too high for their catapults, I hardened the water.

Turning it into a shield wall almost ten feet thick and almost impossible to get through in one go, it would keep them out until nightfall. When the ships could no longer help the warriors on the inside, I slid down from my perch and raced off to get rid of the tanks that were also in our walls. Finding a band of warriors on a bridge with tunnels of water under them I stood behind a small waterfall and turned the calm fall into a powerful pump.

Following my example the tanks were pushed away and so were the benders on foot. When I couldn't do more with the fighting I turned to helping civilians find cover from the attacks, when every non-bending man, woman, and child were safe, I had raced to an open area where I could lure in firebenders and finish them once and for all, tanks rolled in, benders on foot marched or raced to attack,

But the Moon was coming up, with strength from the Ocean Spirit and the power of the moon and her abilities to make waterbenders more powerful, I was a force to be reconned with, taking them down handfuls at a time, pushing and pulling water and snow into ice and sharpening it to dangerous points or lengths and using them to disable the tanks or to imprison the soldiers, in the middle of defending myself the moon suddenly darkened;

And all my power faded, but my chest hurt, like something was out of balance again. Getting away from my attackers, I raced to the place where I felt like I was being pulled to. When I arrived I found just who I wanted to see, Zhao he was raving on about future historical titles but I was more interested in the fact that he was the reason behind Zuko's ship blowing up and that he was the one impersonating Iroh so he could send that letter,

"Naw, none of those sound lame enough to fit you, Zhao. Maybe coward, sounds more appropriate, seeing as your holding a fish hostage." I said while standing across from Zhao, La the Ocean spirit swam chaotically near me, and I knelt and stuck my hand in the way, "shh, easy friend, we'll get her back," I told him and his chaotic swimming didn't stop but it had a more thought out movement,

"What..." Zhao gasped, "You see, that koi fish your holding is not only part of a balance for the spirit world or the waterbenders, it's also for the firebenders and earthbenders and the airbenders, not to mention all the non-bending people of this world, and I have just got one thing to say, if you hurt her, you'll wish you'd never laid eyes on her." I said and slid into a bending position,

Aang and the others joining me and getting into position as well, holding up Tui threateningly, everyone stopped, "No! don't!" I shouted, "It's my destiny, to destroy the Moon and the Water Tribe," he said, but Aang stepped forward, "Marius is right in what he said before Zhao," Iroh said, "General Iroh, why am I not surprised to discover your treachery." Zhao accused, "I'm no traitor Zhao!" Iroh snapped pulling off his hood,

"The fire nation needs the moon too, we all depend on the balance..." Iroh said, but Zhao didn't move, "Whatever you do to that spirit I will unleash on you tenfold! Let it go now!" Iroh shouted sounding the angriest I'd ever seen him, releasing Tui, I saw the anger return to him, rushing into the pond, I bent the water to protect Tui and La, I bent water across my back to keep Zhao away, but he jumped through and drew a knife.
