The Seconded Waterbender(Avatar FF)

Book One: Water [Jet]

Sitting in a beautiful golden red forest we were relaxing and I watched as Katara and Aang worked on their bending forms, there wasn't any water but they could still do the moves without it, Aang was doing well and Katara was getting better, but she still needed some work, they both did. Getting up from Nala's side I stood next to them and took a stance, "I want you guys to relax and not fight what's going to happen."

They nodded and relaxed, when I could feel them soften, I started, "Remember the way you moved when I finish okay." they nodded and I started to bend, using the water in their bodies I was able to control the way they moved and it was like we were all in perfect sync. When I stopped they looked at me and had open mouths and wide eyes, "What was that?" Katara asked, "Is that even considered water bending?" Sokka added.

I nodded, "It is but it's dangerous for new learners, I had to meditate for long periods of time to keep from ripping the water out of a person's body. Water has many uses, some for healing and others for killing." the three of them gasped, "Is this why you were kicked out of the North pole?" Sokka asked I wondered where he heard that. "I heard Zhao say it when Zuko caught you." I nodded, I figured they'd hide if they saw the firebenders.

"No, it wasn't because of that, it's because of something else, it's actually quite the love story if I were to be completely honest." Katara looked completely enthralled and intent on listening to the story. I opened my mouth to start when Momo's screech in the distance cut me off, "I guess we need to wait a bit longer, our Leamur's in trouble." they nodded and we took off to find the furry little creature.

Finding him, Sokka and Aang set him free, only for Sokka to groan in annoyance when he was eating some fruits, freeing the other two creatures, I looked over the cages, "This is from the Fire Nation, I recognize the metal work." Sokka frowned, "I think we should pack up camp and get moving right away." they all nodded while Momo climbed my back and sat on my shoulder, he ate one fruit and handed me the other.

Sokka pouted and I gave it to him. After arguing about walking instead of flying, I let them lead while I lounged around on Appa's back with Nala sleeping beside me. I could hear Katara and Aang picking on Sokka, he tried to get me to back him up but I only said that he decided that we walk, then he could handle being teased. And as if karma wanted us to have a rough day we ran into a camp full of firebender soldiers. 

As I was on Appa I was cut off by the bush the three walked through so I had Appa throw me over the flames. Landing on a firebender with an eyepatch, I punched him once in the face and he was out cold. Right after that, the soldiers attacked. I was holding them off more or less by myself until a group of forest warriors struck. A young 16-year-old with hook swords proved very skilled.

He even tried to outfight me, rolling my eyes I continued to knock out the firebenders without using my bending, swinging around a spear I had taken from a soldier, I tripped and or knocked them out and with Aang and Katara also fighting it was going faster along with these other fighters, but every time Sokka went after a firebender the leader or I would beat them before he could. 

After the leader kicked a bender out of the way he stumbled over to Katara, standing about three inches from her he smiled, "Hey," he greeted and she smiled up at him flustered, before greeting him back, "Hi," one last Firebender jumped up to attack them but I got there first and held him in a headlock before looking at Katara, "You okay?" she nodded as I punched the squirming guy in the face,

Knocking him out. "You just took out a whole army single-handed." Aang said amazed. "Army?" Sokka gasped jealously, "There were only like twenty guys." Sokka complained while the leader walked towards his group. Turning back to us he smirked, "My name is Jet, and these are my freedom fighters, Sneers, Longshot, Smellerbee, the Duke, and Pipsqueak." Aang walked over to Duke and Pipsqueak and assumed the shorter of the two was Pipsqueak.
