Hey guys, finally a new chapter! I personally don't like this chapter that much, it's a bit crap because I wrote it in a rush since I'm going on a holiday tomorrow but I didn't want to let you guys wait for any longer since I've been letting you wait for like 3 months already and I'm very very sorry! Oh and I don't know but my stories are full of drama, I'm a real drama llama if it comes to writing. I don't know if it makes my stories really boring and predictable and so on, but I kinda think it does? Please let me know! (Same for Follow Me, my other fanfic...) Anyways, here is the long awaited chapter 5, Resistance! (currently reading 1984 myself ayeee)

Hope you guys enjoy, comment and become my fan :D

Matt panicked when he saw his girlfriend faint. He was still chewing on his pencil, thinking about another sentence, when suddenly Hailey collapsed. The letter she was holding in her had fell to the ground and Hailey herself also fell onto the ground, her head hitting the corner of the coffee table. Matt gasped and then he fully realised what just had happened, and he focused on Hailey. Blood flowed out of the massive wound on the side of her head. Is she still breathing? was the first thing Matt thought. If her head hit the table the right way (or actually, the wrong way) she could be dead. He quickly held two fingers on the side of Hailey’s neck. He felt nothing. Sure, he wasn’t a doctor but people in those series always do this so he gave it a try too. Wrists? They also felt on the wrists. No pulse again. Matt started crying. He didn’t know what to do anymore, and so he just called Dom. As fast as he could, for he was shaking and trembling all over, he dialled Dom’s number.

“Dom here?”

“Dom please help me Hailey just… I… help!” He yelled into the phone, panting.

“Matt? Could you speak somewhat slower? I don’t understand a single word you just said!”

“Please come to Hailey’s house and call an ambulance, please just…”

“Hailey? Ambulance? I’ll make Chris call one, I’m coming your way right now!”

Before Matt could even thank him or anything, Dom hung up.

“Where’s she?” Dom said immediately when Matt opened up the front door of Hailey’s house.

“Living room,” Matt quickly answered. Dom headed to the living room and Matt heard him gasp when he saw Hailey.

“You held nothing to the wound? The whole carped it red because of the blood and the blood loss could cause a lot of damage to her body!” Dom yelled at Matt. He wasn’t angry or so, but it just scared him so much that he couldn’t help but yell.

“I… I’m sorry, I didn’t know what to do but I didn’t feel a pulse on both her neck and wrist and so I just panicked and called you and did Chris call the paramedics and how do we know she’s not dead!”

Dom didn’t answer, but instead he grabbed the tiny mirror that stood on the mantelpiece.

“What are you doing?”

Still not answering, Dom held the mirror underneath Hailey’s mouth and nose. It dimmed.

“She’s still breathing, look, the mirror’s dimmed.”

“Hallelujah, she’s breathing!”

Right at that moment both guys heard sirens.

“ Paramedics! Must be them!” Dom said and he rushed to the front door, opened up, and a few seconds later some paramedics had already put Hailey on a stretcher.

“That’s a hell of a wound,”  one of them remarked. They carried the stretcher to the ambulance.

“Wait!” Matt screamed. “I am her boyfriend! Can I come too?”

“Alright sir, but you gotta hurry.”

When Hailey opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was a man with black hair and blue eyes. He was reading a book and didn’t seem to notice her. As well as she could, Hailey studied him. His hair was messy, and he had soft lips. He was really handsome. But who was he, and why was he here? He was quietly singing.

“Take us away from here, protect us from further harm…”

Suddenly, he looked up from the book he was reading and put it away. 1984, read the cover.

“Ohmy, Hailey, you’re awake?”

“Who… are you…”

“Matt Bellamy, also known as frontman of Muse, also known as your boyfriend,” the guy answered.

Boyfriend?

“The doctors already said you would be confused, due to your concussion. I shall have to wake you up every two hours now, to see if you’re doing okay. I’ll get a doctor okay?”

The man now known as Matt Bellamy alias frontman of Muse alias her boyfriend stood up and walked out of the room. Slowly Hailey’s mind puzzled itself together and she could remember some things. He left her when she was eight. She and him in the underground on their way to Wembley. The letter from Jess… Jess.. The sadness hit her again and tears started to fill her eyes again. And why was she herself in the hospital? Did she also have cancer? Her head did hurt, just like Jess’s did before she got diagnosed. What if Hailey also had brain cancer? She started to panic and to cry even more and just then Matt walked back in with a doctor who introduced himself but Hailey couldn’t remember his name anymore.

“Why are you crying?” Matt asked.

“Jess… I…” was all Hailey could say.

“Jess? You remember again?” Matt asked and Hailey nodded.

“My head…” Hailey managed to squeak.

“Yes, Miss Allison, that’s why I’m here,” the doctor said. “ Your boyfriend made me aware of the fact that you woke up so I am here to tell you why you’re here.”

“Do I…” Hailey started but the doctor continued talking.

“You fainted and due to that you fell and hit your head on the corner of a table, according to your boyfriend.”

“Yes,” Matt confirmed.

“You have a massive wound which we have stitched, and besides that you have a concussion. Someone now has to wake you up every two hours to see if you’re doing okay. Matt, if she’s dizzy, nauseous or disoriented or whatever when you wake her up, please notify me. If she’s doing okay for a while, you can take her home.”

Two and a half hours later, Matt shook Hailey’s shoulder to wake her up.

“Hailey,” he whispered as he stroked her hair. Hailey didn’t respond.

“Hai-ley!” he repeated with a stern and loud voice. To no avail. Right when he wanted to call her name for the third time, the monitor near Hailey’s bed started beeping unstoppable. While getting flashbacks to Jess’s death, Matt started screaming.
