**AUTHORS NOTE!!!**
Heyyy readers! I am back to writing and have a lot for you to get excited about in the next chapters! So get ready. I decided that I couldn't wait till summer to update...
Wren has been the exact same ever since I last saw or talked to him. I haven't talked to him barely at all. And when I did, it wasn't much. Just a hi in the hall or a hug in front of the school. I finally realized after all this time that I will forever love Wren, but that doesn't mean that we have to hang out all the time, or go out or something. Im not sure if he realizes that also, but I am going to make a point in asking him how he feels this summer on the bus ride. I really can't wait until this summer when we can both finally go back to camp. But until then, I will just have to deal with it and wait.
"Raelin! What do you keep looking at!?" Reanna asks. It's tuesday and the super-chorus girls are having a meeting at lunch.
"Nothing nothing." I say. If I told people that I enjoy watching people walking around at lunch, they might think that it's weird. So I try not to.
Reanna comes over and try's to see what i'm seeing. I'm looking out the window also.
"Hey that guy is pretty good looking!" I say while looking out the window.
"What! Where?" She asks. I point straight ahead and she follows my finger.
"Ohhhh. You like him."
"What no way I said he was good looking!"
Too late though. She was already running back down the hallway to where all the other girls are eating lunch. Oh great. I step out into the large room but it is already too late. All the girls and Mr. C think that I like this random guy.
"You guys you guys! Its not what you think!"
"Hahahha suree." Everyone says.
There is absolutely nothing I can do about it now. Girls and gossip go together like peanut butter and jelly. I think I will let this whole thing blow over. It will eventually. Right?
"BEEP!!" The bell signals us that lunch has ended. Good thing too. Band is next. We will all be sitting there honking away at our instruments. I decide to set up our whole groups chairs and stands because I am there so early.
I grab four chairs and four stands and set them in the right place. Then, kids start to stream through the band room doors and into the once quiet place. So, I grab my french horn and quickly sit down. As you probably noted already, there are four french horns. Nico, Grace, Jace, and I.
When they come over they all thank me and start warming up. Personally, I don't really like warming up that much. It requires soooo much effort! Just kidding. Im not that lazy. After we were all warmed up, we started playing some pieces. We had a concert coming and we really needed the practice.
My mind starts to wander as we are playing a piece called Country Wildflowers. We have an inside joke that we call the song Country Wallflowers. Long story. So anyways.
In the middle of one of our songs I kinda get a bit little lost. I stop playing and take a deep breath. Doesn't seem like it would be hard, but it actually does take a lot of air to play an instrument. Especially a french horn.
While in my little break, I take a look around. On my right is Nico, of course who is blowing away like the world has no end. But when I look to my right, I see Jace who is or already was, looking over here. He smiles at me and I smile back. Then go right back to my playing. A small smile comes across my lips.
All the while, I'm thinking to myself. That moment reminds me exactly of the time in the hall last year. Me and a few friends walking through the main hall. Wren and a few friends also walking through the hall but in the opposite direction. We both realize that the other is near. And when we are both near the end of the hall, we turn around at the same time. It was the best moment of my life. So, we smiled and kept on walking. I dont know if he remembers, but I sure do. Sometimes I wish that I could re-live that moment over and over again.
Yet again, Jace is pretty good looking though...
