It's been weeks. Weeks since Pearl disappeared, weeks since they found evidence of Greek mythology crashing and ruining their home. Weeks since they walked out that door for work, not worried about leaving their daughter alone.

Paul crumbled a paper that had 'missing' with their daughters name and picture on it. The weeks became a month, and that month became two.

Their daughter is gone. Missing. Dead?

Paul racked his finger through his hair showing the oily and unclean hair. Bags under his eyes, and he was paler then snow. Paul hasn't slept or eaten. They haven't heard or seen anything about Pearl, but only one thing remained. The claw marks. There were marks made by an animal. Not any animal. A Greek beast! Pearl's room was destroyed, and the front door was forced open by incredible power. His little girl is out there somewhere. And he can't do anything. Nothing.
Because he's human.

Pearl sip the water she had softly, like she was restricted to gulp the whole thing. Her eyes were close as she let the water billow in her mouth. Unwillingly she pulled the water from his cracked lips. She pushed the water away from herself and gave it to Scott. The said boy seemed to be looking around before taking his share of the drink.

"We are close." He said in deep thought.

It took Pearl a second before realizing he was taking to her, not himself. "Where are we going. You never really told me." Her voice was close to a whisper, showing her exhaustion.

"Somewhere."

Pearl scoffed at his answer, before she can demand to know she started to cough. "Can you tell me what this somewhere is." She wiped her dry month after she was done coughing.

"A camp. For people like you." Pearl rolled her eyes.

"You mean for the two of us." Pearl said, only to not get a answer.

"Wait. Where will you go?" Her heart started to pound wondering where her friend will go one they get to this 'camp'.

"I'll be fine." Scott whispered before starting to walk. "Let's keep walking we are close."

"You already said that."

They've walked for days to get to this place. The only information she gate was that it was a camp, that will accept her, but not her firend. Pearl didn't want to go to this camp, she wanted to go home. Home. It started to almost feel like a foreign word. Her home is a place for her parents, to be safe. If she does stay with her parents they can end up getting hurt. Worst, Killed. She she had no home. Her home with the presence of this boy. Her friend, Scott.

The trees around started to get taller, like building up skyscrapers, the more they walked. The forest seemed to become dark, like a misty night, but Pearl knew the sun was still out, but the tiny leaks of light through the trees. Their walking seemed to come to a stop as the ground seemed to shake by the stomps of something.

"What?!?" Pearl was panicking as she almost lost her footing because of the rumbling earth.

"We must hide!" Scott said with fear and surprise.

"What's happening?!" Pearl said as Scott grabbed her hand and pulled her to one of the trees.

"Start climbing!" Pearl looked at her serious but frighten friend. "I said to climb!" Pearl nodded before climbing up the tree. Her body seemed to kick into a instinct type state as she kept climbing. Percy, remember right hand left foot. Left and right foot. That how you climb. Pearl started to climb in that order and she went up the tree faster then Scott had thought. As the earth started to shake more, and the sound of thumping getting closer, Scott hurried to get up the tree. Soon the rumble stopped slowly when Scott was half way. Before anything can be said or done. A giant hand gripped around Scott and took him.

"SCOTT!"
