"I'm worried about him." Zach sighed as he shut the door to Daniel's room. Each boy had had a go at trying to get the heartbroken brunette to leave his room, but none had succeeded. This week was supposed to be full of fun, adventure, and bonding for Jonah, Zach, Jack, Corbyn and Daniel - for it was the first time that Zach's mom had let him come to visit without her. So when the boys turned up to Christina and Daniel's apartment to see their best friend and brother in a mess, they all hurt.
"I'm worried about her..." Every head in the room turned to the curly headed boy and he sighed. "Christina told me that Felicity's in a worse way than Danny, so she must be feeling pretty shit."
"I felt horrible leaving her there in the bath room last week but what was I supposed to do? She could have cheated on my best friend." Christina wiped her eyes and Corbyn tightened his arm around her. It was an uncomfortable silence until,
"I dunno...something seems off about it." Jonah finally spoke up for the first time that day and scratched his chin. "It's just-"
"The way he used to speak about her-" Zach cut in.
"It just doesn't seem like-"
"Something that she would do?" Daniel's voice startled everyone in the room as he finished off Corbyn's sentence. The dark circles underneath his eyes could be seen from over where Jonah sat in the corner of the living room, making everybody wince. "Yeah, I thought that too. I also didn't think that she would kiss her ex and lead me on."
"Have you even given her time to explain?" Jack asked and Daniel glared at him.
"I shouldn't need to."
"That is the biggest bullshit excuse I've ever-"
"Jonah!" Zach interjected but Jonah stood up and toward over the younger boy.
"No." He marched up to Daniel and poked him hard on the chest, making the younger of the two stumble back against the wall. "You love this girl?"
"W-Well...yeah-"
"Then don't throw away an entire relationship that could be amazing just because you can't bring yourself to find out the truth. Did you ever think that maybe she was forced to kiss her ex? Hmm? Ever bothered to think that maybe she didn't kiss back? All I know is that when you were with her - or even spoke about her - that was the happiest I had seen you in years. Don't give that up based on your side of the story Daniel."
"Holy shit..." Corbyn whispered and Christina covered his mouth then turned to stare back at the two boys. It was dead silent in the room, everyone on the edge of their seat in anticipation to see what would happen next. Then suddenly Daniel held out his hand and Jonah smiled, pulling the brunette into a tight bro hug.
"Oh thank god." Jack yelled and flopped back against the couch. Daniel laughed and wiped his eyes as Jonah patted his back affectionately. "So...what now?"
"Now Christina gets her car and we drive up to Felicity's house to find out the truth." The boy got cheers and whoops in response but Christina groaned.
"No 'Hey Chrissy do you think you could please drive all the way up to Felicity's house with me and the boys?', whatever." She wore a scowl on her lips but her eyes let the boys know that she was really joking. Corbyn showered her face in little kisses making her blush as she tried to push her boyfriend away. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, let's get goin',"
