Last night the three young adults and the one teenager fell asleep in separate rooms. The girls in one and the boys in the other, per Christina's request that she didn't want any little baby Daniel's and Felicity's running around the apartment any time soon.
However, Felicity's phone ringing for the 15th time that morning is what woke up the girls.
"Answer. The. God. Damn. Phone." Chris mumbled in her sleep and grabbed Felicity's phone off the bed side table chucking it at her. Felicity rolled her eyes but answered the phone and lied back down putting it to her ear.
"H-Hello-"
"Felicity Margaret Row please inform me of where the hell you are." Her mother seethed on the other end of the line. Busted.
Now her mom, Rosa, wasn't a mean lady, gosh no. It was just that she hadn't received a text from her daughter saying she was alive, since Felicity told her she was going to work yesterday morning. Christina had woken up now and rolled over to face her friend, leaning her head on her hand she looked over at the blonde in concern.
"You ok?" She mouthed and the younger girl nodded then whispered back that her mom just wanted to know where she was. Christina was 18 - nearly 19 - and had moved in with Daniel as soon as possible, so it was almost foreign to the dark haired girl to hear a mom worry where their child was. "Tell her you crashed at mine, you aren't lying then." Chris smiled at her friend.
"Well? I'm waiting." Rosa Row muttered awaiting her daughters reason as to why she didn't come home last night or even answer her phone.
"I g-got an extra shift with Christina at work and it got so late and we were both very tired so I decided to just sleep at her place mom. You know Christina she's the nice girl you love at my work." Felicity tried to change the subject from her lie and it surprisingly worked. She heard her mom sigh in defeat.
"Yes I know her, she's a lovely girl. But hun please just tell me next time you get a late night shift. Your father and I were worried sick about you all night. We could have come pick you up from the pizzeria after work." Felicity let out a breath of relief when she knew she was off the hook and simply told her mom she didn't want to have to wake her parents late at night. "Okay well I love you and when will I see you."
"Ummmm," Christina shrugged her shoulders and Felicity ran a hand through her hair. "I actually was wondering if I could go to the beach today with Christina and her boyfriend. If that was okay with you mommy?" Chris rolled her eyes at Felicity's buttering up of her mom but smiled at her friend anyway.
"I guess that's okay if you promise to bring them over for dinner as a thank you from me for letting you stay." Rosa smiled on the other line as she was happy her daughter finally had friends but Felicity pretended to shoot herself in the mouth and fell back against the mattress.
"Not a problem mom thank you so much. Love you." Felicity smiled then hung up after hearing her mother say goodbye. "Ughhhhhh she wants you and Corbyn to 'come over for a dinner as a thank you from her for letting me stay over'." She mocked her mothers sweet voice and groaned.
"Well that's fine with me I would just like to know when we're going to the beach, hmm? Hmm? Hmm?" Christina asked smirking and lied down next to her friend poking her. "Cause, last time I checked buddy, we had no such plans to do that and I'm pretty sure Corbyn hates water this time in the year when it's kinda cold so-"
"Jesus Christ, I wanted to take Daniel out on the dates today and I told my mom I was hanging out with you so she wouldn't ask me any questions. God Christina!" Felicity yelled but immediately felt horrible. "Oh shit I'm so so sorry I didn't mean to get mad at you."
"It's okay chickee I get it. First date nerves." Christina laughed sadly and scratched her head. "W-Well um I'll see you in the kitchen for breakfast." She turned away quickly and hoped off the bed, leaving the room.
"Christina wai-" Felicity kicked the blankets off her legs and chased after her friend. "Come back Chris I'm sorry. I didn't mean it!"
"What's going on?" Corbyn came out from Daniel's room at the other end of the small apartment rubbing his tired eyes, the latter mentioned one not far behind him. Christina took this chance and locked herself in the bathroom.
"No Chris please come out." Felicity banged on the door and pulled her hair when Chris yelled a sad 'Go away!'.
"What did you do?" Corbyn looked at Felicity and she stuttered over her words, not being able to give him an answer. He gave her a quick glare and knocked on the door. "Babe come out please we can sort this out."
"N-No I do-on't wanna be a nu-nuisance-ce-e." Christina tried to talk sweet and calm as she sat on the other side of the door and wiped away her salty tears.
"Really Felicity? You made her cry. What did you do?" The blonde boy stepped towards the other upset girl but was pushed back by Daniel.
"I'm sure it was a misunderstanding Corbyn. Move away." Daniel clenched his jaw and Corbyn balled his fists. The two boys staunched each other until finally Corbyn sighed and backed down. He tried once more to get Christina to open the door but had no luck. So Daniel had a turn. He tapped quietly on the door and lowered his body to where he knew she was against the door. "Come on Chrissy come out. Felicity didn't mean whatever she said and I know she's very upset with herself right now."
Felicity gulped and slowly walked towards the locked bathroom before also bending down and sitting next to Daniel.
"Hunny?" She called and heard a sniffle on the other side of the white door. "I-I'm gonna code my apology to you because the boys are here okay?"
"Whatever." Chris mumbled from the tiled floor and Felicity looked at Daniel who pulled her between his legs and wrapped her in a comforting hug before she continued.
"I'm so, so, so sorry Christina. You know I'm just nervous because I've never liked an obvious non-jerk before." She hoped Christina remembered the time she called Mark a jerk and figured out she meant Daniel. "I've never gotten to have the good and fun times in the relationship and I didn't wanna mess this chance up. I'm so stressed with Plan Win over (the plan the two friends had come up with to take Daniel out on his dream dates) that I totally took my worry out on you. You know I love you and listening to you cry is hurting me so much. You're my sister."
"Rea-lly?" Christina's muffled voice was heard and Corbyn rushed over to the door ready to open it once it was unlocked.
"Yes hun. Please come out so you can help me pick what to wear today. And if it will make you happy, you can even do my make u-" Before Felicity could finish her sentence the door was unlocked and then swung open by Corbyn to reveal a beautiful girl with tear stained cheeks kneeling on the floor. Felicity lunged forward out of Daniel's arms and wrapped her friend up in a tight hug. Chris smiled into Felicity's shoulder and hugged her back. Daniel snagged a quick picture of his two favourite girls before he realised something and his cheeks flushed pink.
"Ahem uh F-Filly?!" He called and she turned around smiling.
"What?" He simply pointed to her clothes then quickly looked away. Both girls looked down than srieked as they ran back into Christina's room and tried to find clothes to put on. As they were only wearing pajamas which consisted of Christina's singlets and their undies.
