Demi hasn't been able to see her boyfriend Justin in months. Time had gotten a bit busy for the both of them. Demi, struggling to get through school successfully. The piles and piles of homework and projects. The long nights studying in hopes that she would get an A+ on the next test. The stress of being successful and all around perfect at everything was beginning to weigh her down. She shut some people out to focus on what was important to her, which happened to be school and work at the moment, and rarely ever having any time to herself.

Justin on the other hand was on his break from his own life. After releasing his newest album Journals, the young man wished to have time for himself for a bit before he started touring again. It was rare for him to have time off and when he did, he made sure to spend as much time as he could with Demi. However, Demi was too busy and focused at the moment. Justin had decided to let her have her own time and for him to have his, hanging out with his friends and family, going out and enjoying himself.

It wasn't until days later that Demi had actually bothered to get onto the computer and do some pointless searching around and surfing. Coming across an article about her boyfriend getting busted for drugs and not only that, but also possibly getting charged for drag racing and a DUI. Shocked, Demi began to read on and soon found out that all charges had been dropped, however she couldn't help but wonder what exactly was wrong with him.

Despite the fact that she hadn't talked in almost two weeks, she still knew him off the back of her hand, she knew something wasn't right. A call from his mother, informing her that she would like for Demi to stop by if she had time, also aware of her busy life, she instantly agreed. Demi didn't mind taking off time for a bit, if anything she was glad Pattie had called. She didn't want to stay in her bedroom all day, her eyes scanning over words she wasn't able to process and equations that add up.

A day later, Demi had arrived, pulling into the large driveway, still quite shocked and surprised at how big Justin's house actually was. She was actually confused as to why he bought such a large home, seeing as not many people lived there and he wasn't there himself most of the time. However it wasn't her money, nor her decision so she chose not to bring it up or argue about it. Walking into the home with the key, Demi was greeted by Pattie who had a large smile on her face.

"Demi! Oh, honey I've missed you so much! A busy girl huh?"

Demi nodded at her smiling as she pulled her into a hug, "It's good to see you again. I miss seeing you over the weekends, you've gotta come over sometime yeah?"

"I will." Demi smiled, squeezing her gently, she didn't mean to seem to be in a rush or push her to the side, but she really didn't want to talk to Pattie at the moment. She wanted to see her boyfriend, her love. It had been months since Demi had seen his face and aware of what was currently happening to him only made her want to hold him and protect him from everything.

"He's upstairs in his bedroom, he might be asleep though." Pattie said, catching Demi's vibe.

Giving her a kind smile Demi made her way through the home and up the stairs until she entered his bedroom down the long hallway. It was very dark in his room, the black out curtains doing exactly what they were meant to do. She noticed that some furniture had been moved around, along with the fact that he had changed his comforter to black on black. Music reached her ears, a soft acoustic melody.

"You're adding fire to the flame," Demi's words were soft as she stared down at his motionless body, facing the other side of the room, his back to her. Half the blanket was covering his waist while he laid still.

"I don't care." Was his simply response.

"But I do," Walking to the bed, she climbed over him and laid down, licking her lips softly she stared at his features.

Remembering every little detail she had missed, his eyes were shut and she could see the tear stains on his cheeks and the wet spots on his pillows. His voice was also hoarse as well. Without a second thought, Demi scooted closer to him, bringing his head to her chest as she cuddled him, his arms instantly wrapping around her, and her fingers running through his short hair.

Justin wasn't one for emotions, especially sadness, the only thing he seemed to express was happiness and anger, or annoyance on rare occasions. But when Demi felt his chest heave and his breath hitch, she knew he had began to cry again. She cooed him, wishing to turn off the music for she thought it was making the scene a lot more dramatic than she liked. She hated seeing how sad and hurt he was, the music playing annoyed her, knowing that it could simply be playing a large factor into why he was feeling this way.

"Justin, what's wrong?"

"Everything, Demi, everything's wrong," He choked out, "I'm so tired. I'm drained and I don't want to do this anymore." Demi hadn't heard him speak words like this before, as she stared down at his shaking frame in shock, "I'm tired of feeling so sad and lonely. I'm tired of putting a smile on my face for the camera and the fans, and I hate disappointing everyone. I'm done with these bullshit reports making up stories-" He stopped talking, pulling Demi closer to him. She could tell that he was trying to stop crying now, for he had stopped talking and his jaw had clenched, "I'm tired of taking those damn anti-depressants hoping they do something when they don't do anything-"

"What? You're on medication?" Demi interrupted. The room fell silent and he didn't answer, "Justin-"

"I'm failing, Demi, I'm failing the fans, I'm failing my friends and family, the crew, you, everyone."

"No you're not, stop that!"

"No you stop! Stop acting like I'm some perfect human being when I'm not. I'm a screw up and that's all I'll ever be in everyone's eyes so I might as well start believing it because it's gotta be true. Since the start, all I've done was mess things up and-" He had began to cry harder, now, "I don't wanna feel like this or do the things I do to help me feel better or disappoint anyone anymore."

Demi shushed him, cradling his body, rubbing soft circles into his back, "You're not a failure nor are you a disappointment. Sure you make mistakes, we all make mistakes. That's life and that's what's going to happen, all you can do is learn from it babe. You're not a disappointment to your family or your friends, they are nothing but proud of you and how much you've grown from fetus Justin. Hell, the Beliebers have your back every step of the way and you know that. This sadness and hurting, the feeling of being a failure will soon leave when you find something that truly makes you happy and triggers that happiness inside and I hope and pray - no, I know that, that happiness will come sooner than later, much sooner." Demi had shifted a bit to look at him, her thumbs running gently over his cheeks to wipe away his tears, "Now chin up, baby. You've gotta believe that everything will be great in time. Things might be going overboard at the moment, but you've got somebody to love, and life is a rollercoaster - and what the fuck am I doing?" Demi laughed softly.

Justin laughed as well rolling his eyes, "Don't try that again, you sound dumb."

"Well thanks!" Demi rolled her eyes, he only laughed though and grabbed at her cheeks to give her a long passionate kiss.

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"For coming to see me when you're busy...and saying what you said." His words were soft, but Demi knew he meant it by the look in his eyes. By the way his eyes stared into hers, his face serious and his eyes soft.

"Anytime, love. Now, can we turn off the sad music and put on some Nicki Minaj or?" Demi asked trying to break the tension and let Justin ease out of his sadness. It must've seemed to work a bit because he laughed again, grabbing at her to lay back down.

"No, I'm tired. Cuddle with me," His voice was demanding, but soft at the same time as he leaned into her, his eyes shutting. She had no choice now, seeing as she was locked in his arms and unable to move, so she sighed softly and leaned into him, inhaling his scent, something Demi had missed so much.

"I love you." She said softly.

"I love you too," His words were distant, "Forever and always, baby girl."
