Sobbing quietly and trying to blink away the flood of tears, Demi clumsily tried to squeeze her suitcase into the trunk of her car, the tears blurring her vision. As she let out another strangled gasp, she felt a large, familiar hand enclose around her wrist, gently removing her hand from the suitcase. Squeezing her eyes shut, she attempted to tug her hand from Justin's, but the familiar, tender grip remained the same.

"Dems, I'm sorry. So, so, so, so sorry. I never should have done and said the things that I did, and I wish there was a way to take them back." Breathing in a shaky breath, she tentatively opened her eyes to meet Justin's, feeling her heart skip a beat at his soft, apologetic gaze. "I'm sorry, Demi, so sorry." Justin took her other hand in his, pulling her towards his chest. "There's no excuse for what I said, and I swear I didn't mean any of it. You are the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I was a fool to throw that all away." As Justin spoke, he stepped closer to her until their noses were almost touching and his breath brushed her cheeks. "Please, don't leave me. Scream, yell, slap me for being a fool, but please, don't leave me." Releasing a shaky breath, Demi shook her head, attempting to back away from Justin, though he refused, his eyes still soft and gentle.

"Justin, I can't. Not after what you said. How am I supposed to know what to believe?" Squeezing her eyes shut once more, she felt tears trace streaks past her cheeks once more, and along with them, came tender touches as Justin kissed away her tears.

"Don't cry, Demi, I'm an idiot, don't cry for an idiot." Cupping her hands in his, Justin quietly continued, "Don't cry, please open your eyes for me." Swallowing hard, she opened her eyes once more, blinking back the tears that threatened to overwhelm them.

"Justin..." Shaking his head, Justin silenced her, his eyes still sad and sorry,

"No, I need to tell you this, Demi. It's important." When she nodded slightly, Justin continued, "I know that after everything I said, it seems impossible to believe me, but I promise that I mean it when I say that you're the best thing that's ever happened to me. I remember on our first date, I was so nervous, I nearly spilled every drink I came across. You got macaroni on your nose, and I thought that I could never love anyone more than you, and I was right. I've been in love with you since that first date, Demi, and I always will be. Please forgive me and take me back."

Biting her lower lip, she kissed Justin's nose, a smile tugging at her lips, "Of course."
