Justin's POV

"Knock knock!" the boys shout out as they push open the door to Demi's hospital room, and I follow them in, bringing up the rear. I can't stop the smile that spreads across my face seeing her up and awake. I'd been there the whole time last night, and it seemed the second I left to go home for a quick shower was the moment she decided to wake up. I smile over at her parents who were got up from their seats beside her bed,

"I hope you don't mind me bringing them - I thought they might help cheer her up,"

Her mother pats a hand sweetly on my cheek as she passes, "Not at all sweetheart. Now that you're here, we're going to go home quickly to have a shower and something to eat, we'll be back up soon okay? The doctors said she's doing perfectly."

I wave them off before turning my attention back to the others, where each of the boys were taking it in turns pulling her in for a hug.

"Ah, my favourite boys," she laughs, her eyes twinkling with so much life. Her gaze falls onto me, and I smile crookedly over at her, taking a step forward but pausing as she glances back at Ryan curiously.

"Going to introduce me to your friend then?" she stares at the guy impatiently, and he bursts out laughing, the others joining in. I watch as she frowns, and she turns to face me, offering out her hand as she speaks,

"Ignore them, they're all stupidly rude. I'm Demi, and you are?"

"You're kidding me right? You know who I am!" I laugh awkwardly, and it echoes around the room as the boys' laughter cuts off.

She frowns slightly, "No... I've never met you before."

I can't take it, not the awkward stares from the boys, and definitely not the confused gaze from Demi which holds no recognition in them. I don't even care how hard I slam the door on my way out.

Demi's POV

I spent most of the afternoon watching films on the hospital TV. The boys didn't stay for too long, they had to head off for some work thing, but I wasn't complaining - they had been acting really strange, something was off. And then there was that boy - he was gorgeous, but he looked as if he had quite the temper. I turned my head to the door as I hear it creaking open, and said boy walks in, closing the door behind him and silently take the seat next to the bed.

"Visiting hours are over." I eyed him suspiciously.

"I'm allowed to be here," he looked at me desperately, "I'm your boyfriend! Please tell me you remember, it's me - Justin."

I shook my head rapidly, pushing myself up into a better sitting position, "I'm sorry Justin, but you're seriously confused. I've never met you before,"

"Please," he stared up at me desperately, gripping my hand tightly, "You must remember. What about the time we went to Barcelona? And when we bought our first apartment together and we spent months decorating it because you kept changing your mind on what colour you wanted the walls?" I tried to pull my hand out of his grasp, but it was to no avail. "And last week at the concert? When I pulled you up on stage and sang to you, and you were blushing so red you might have been a tomato."

I noticed his eyes were slowly filling with tears, "And you started to cry because you felt so embarrassed, but in a good way, and you hugged me and told me you loved me, and that you would forever. Please remember!"

"Look, the attention is really flattering but you've got the wrong girl!" I insisted, finally managing to pull my hand away from his. "I have a boyfriend."

He stands up, scoffing, "Oh yeah? And what's his name?"

"I..." I started, but then I looked away, staring at the wall - I couldn't quite recall his name.

"Exactly!" Justin shouts, making me jump as he slams the door on the way out.
