After Hunter and I got back from the therapist. I tried to prevent her from going but she denied. She didn't want to cause Toby to feel awful. It's funny how he won't feel the same when he hurts her. He won't even consider that she's hurt and and feel awful about it.
I gave up eventually and decided to bunk out in bed. Sleepiness drooled over me, leaving Hunter awake, packing her things.
Something rattled outside my window, making me open my eyes to see what it is. It was a loud rattling sound as if a huge tree was being blown by the wind causing it's branches to hit the window. But here's the thing, there's not one tree near my apartment.
My eyes flustered open, denying from being deprived of it's peaceful state. When I looked, darkness rolled around me but light was entering from the window between Hunter's bed and mine.
I looked at Hunter's bed to see that she's not there. I got up," Hunter!" I called my voice coming out groggy.
"Hunter!" I called again but there was no answer like the first time," Hunter!" I yelled, fear building up inside me.
I heard a knock coming from the window that made me jump. I instantly turned around, regret filled my eyes. She was standing there, wait, my apartment is on the fifth floor so... Oh God she can float! She can friggin' float!
I began to take slow steps back," what have you done to her?" I hissed but nothing came out her mouth that's covered with blood. Fear pooled me I wanted to run for my life. Just then my feet refused to move.
"What the hell? What have you done to Hunter?" I asked feeling stuck, as if someone was holding down my feet. No matter how hard I tried they didn't wanted to move.
"She's gone." She whispered with a smirk, coming closer. That's when I realized I couldn't see her legs. The dirty, grey fabric was over them but her feet won't touching the floor.
"Leave me alone Amanda!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. She came even closer, floating slowly towards me. Wait, what did she do to Hunter?
She's becoming too close. Just mere meters away from me. I tried to unplant my feet but it just stayed rooted to the ground.
"You're going to give me what I want all along." She smiled, her voice sounding raspy. I couldn't do anything else but cringe at her words. It sounded so disgusting.
Realization hit me when I finally processed what she just said," I'm not giving you anything! What have you done to Hunter?!" I barked at her. I felt myself beginning to tremble as I once did when I was a kid.
"Oh you're giving it alright. Oh that little b**ch of your's, I took care of her long ago." She said, getting closer. The space between us was now closing. I couldn't do anything no matter how hard I tried, that's when I felt the warm liquid running down my face. No, what did she do to my Hunter!?
"Come on now my child. It'll be faster if you shut the hell up!" Her voice raised at the end, yelling at me. I'm seventeen but I still remember the pain she did to me and I still cry because of it.
Sobs echoed out from my mouth," shush..." She trailed off, passing her finger on my lip. I felt weak, my vision was blurred by my tears. Regret and fear increasing by every second that passed by. My life is beginning to turn into hell.
I can't take the memories anymore, she can't be haunting my mind like a ghost. I want to be free.
I started to vigorously shake my head to the side trying to make the memories stop. The nightmares, I want it to stop.
The tears kept falling and falling, not wanting to stop. Then I heard the sweetest voice, that I love so much," shush..Kaleb." Hunter whispered. I felt her hugging me. I opened my eyes to see that I'm sitting on the ground, my bed on the other side of the room. How did I reach here?
I saw Hunter's small frame wrapped around me. Safety snaked around me as her grip tightens. I hug her back tightly," oh thank God you're okay." I breathed out in a hush whisper.
She looked up at me from her sitting position," what do you mean?" She asked, wiping away the tears from my eyes.
"I thought Amanda did something to you." I murmured looking down. I still haven't told her what goes on in my dreams or what happened in my past. Guilt drenched itself onto me.
"Well I'm here and I'm not going to allow her to even get one meter close to me or you." She whispered.
I felt so weak, every bone in my body feeling as if it was going to crash down at any minute.
"What time is it?" I asked, seeing that the room is brightly lit.
"It's ten. I have to leave in a little while." She frowned. I looked down at her, everything she has done for me replaying in my mind. I planted a kiss on her forehead," thank you." I smiled.
Her cheeks tinted over with a light shade of red with a small smile lining her lips. She looks so cute when she blushes.
"I don't want you to leave." I murmured, looking at her.
Sadness crossed her face," I don't want to as well Kay." She depressingly whispered.
"Hey, just call me if anything goes wrong okay?" I asked, knowing fully well that she's going to be heartbroken. I'm still thinking about the different ways I can kill Toby.
I think I'll watch a few episodes or seasons of 'how to get away with murder' yep that might help.
The door bell rang, cutting her short.
"I'll call and text and video chat whenever I get time. Hopefully I do. I want you to be careful okay? When I come back I want to see you in one piece." She said, getting up and pulling her suitcase down from her bed.
"I will, don't worry." I assured her getting up. I walked her out to the door. As she opened it Toby was standing there with white Lilies in his hands. She doesn't even like lilies.
I couldn't help but roll my eyes at him. She took the lilies and pecked him on the lips. He doesn't deserve that.
She turned around and waved her goodbyes," bye Kay see you soon." She said.
"Bye Hunter. Stay safe." I said.
"Always." She assured before walking out the door.
As Toby goes to close the door I ran up to it, preventing him from doing so," Hurt her and I'll seriously kill you Toby." I hissed at him.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Plus it's not like she's going to give two shits about it." He smirked.
I raised my hands up holding both sides of his face tightly," I swear to God, if you friggin' hurt my Hunter I won't be afraid to drive a knife through your cold heart." I hissed at him. The anger started growling in my chest, scraping up my throat to escape.
He rolled his eyes and pulled his face away from my grip. He walked away before stating," she means nothing to me man. She's just helping me get a girl jealous. Oh and if she's so yours then why didn't you ask her to be yours instead?" He laughed out, asking.
I never saw this side of Toby before. It's like he's a totally different person.
I wanted to charge at him and slam his head into the wall for saying that but my feet stayed rooted to the ground.
Thanks, God. I know you don't want me to murder him just yet.
After he was unseen by my eyes I slammed the door, creating a vibration. I leaned back against the door rubbing my hands down my face
Oh God, Hunter. What have you put yourself into?
