My phone began to ring, the sound bounced of the walls alarming me that someone is urgent to speak to me. I walked towards my bed, pulling a blue t-shirt over my head. The number on the screen, familiar to my eyes. The head of the FBI, Anthony.
"Hello." I answered, before the call ended. A loud intake of breath was heard before he started to speak," Kaleb, both Hunter and you need to come in today." He muttered. I could hear the grinding of his teeth through the line. The expression on his face probably furrowed.
"I can't-" I tried to deny his command but he cut me short," No! I gave a command! You are going to come in now, Kaleb. No buts. Get yourself here now!" he shouted then the line went dead.
What's up with him? He never spoke to me like that. As if I did something wrong. My heart thumped against my chest, ready to burst my skin open.
"Hunter!" I yelled, pushing my phone into my pocket. I walked out the room to the living room,"Yeah!" Hunter replied from the kitchen.
"We need to head in today. Annie shouted at me saying so. So we can't go by grandpa's until later." I informed her on the plans for today that's been changed.
I walked to the kitchen counter, grabbing my keys from on top of it and walking to the door with Hunter behind me. We both rushed to the car, knowing of the hustle that drenched Anthony's mouth.
As we walked through the doors of the apartment building, a gush of warm air greeted me. Wearing white today was a good choice while Hunter on the other hand is covered with black, a black T-shirt and jeans.
"Why did he call us in?" She asked from besides me, watching me with her eyebrows furrowing towards his sudden instructions. "Wait, why did he shout at you." She said a few seconds after.
I turned my head to meet her's," I don't know the answer to any of those." I said sadly, not knowing what it's for.
My car came into sight, getting closer and closer before we're right next to it. I opened the driver's door, hopped in and turn on the engine creating a roar to emerge from the engine before driving to headquarters.

Hunter walked hurriedly in front of me. The locks that hang from her pony tail bobbing against her back. Our shoes clapped on the tiled flooring of the hallway.
The large, black, metal door got larger as we came closer to it. Finally in front of it, Hunter pushed it open. A strong scent of lavender swallowed the corridor when the door was split apart.
"Anthony." Hunter said while I knocked in the door three times." Come in." He ordered, dryly.
Hunter and I looked at each other, a confused scowl expressed on both faces. We both walked in," sit." He demanded, pointing to the leather chairs that's stuck in front of his desk. Hunter and I raced towards the chairs, sitting down.
"Okay. So do you know why you're here?" He asked, a smile beginning to form on his droopy face. "No." Hunter and I said in unison.
"Well..." He trailed off, anticipation killing me," both of you are assigned to permanently work for the FBI until retirement." He explained, a smirk crawling up his face. It's the creepiest thing to ever witness.
"What?" Hunter asked excitingly. She jumped from her seat, squealing. "Be professional Hunter." She mumbled to herself before sitting back down and crossing her legs while clearing her throat," as you were saying Annie." She continue, trying to maintain her cool.
