Grandpa took Hunter and I up to the attic where we trained for about two hours. That girl could definitely kick butt, no kidding. After training I took a long shower and slipped on a pair of black, and blue stripped Adidas track pants with a grey tee to finish off.
I walked down stairs into the living room where I found Hunter sitting comfortably, watching a show on AXN and being the good child that I am, I decided to disturb her.
I evil feeling ran through my body and spark in my eyes making me smirk.
I walked back a little to get a head start before running onto the couch and landing next to her trying to throw her off the warm, brown couch. I took of like a lightening bolt and landed onto the couch harder than I was supposed to, making she literally fly off the couch and she landed on the ground, feet first.
She groaned leaning back on the ground, lying down. I rolled over on my stomach on the couch laughing at her, amused.
"You jerk. What was that for? Ugh...I think I need a hip replacement surgery." She groaned even louder holding her left side and reaching her right hand up. Before I knew it I was planted on the floor with her next to me. She burst out in laughter and I held my head and groan loudly.
"Thanks for giving me the migraine of the century." My head felt like it was about to explode. God she's so damn violent.
"Your welcome." She said giving me a tight smile, " Now we're even." She got up and stuck out her tongue like a two year old, teasingly.
I laughter at how childish she is and propped myself up leaning against the couch.
"You're so violent."
"Oh please, you started it. It's practically your fault. You looked for it. Don't blame me you vicious python." I started laughing uncontrollably as Hunter sat down.
"Seriously. Vicious python. Your literally a toddler."
"Oh shut it." She said bending her head and smiling a little before we heard something.
A bang noise came from the outside. Hunter flew up quickly walking towards the window. She moved the curtains slowly peaking outside.
"Um...Kay you might want to see this." She said her voice hinted with surprise.
I walked towards her wrapping my left hand around her shoulders as I looked outside to see what she was seeing.
It wasn't a sight I ever wanted to see. There was a black van with three husky men walking towards the porch with no other than Jake in there hands. My eyes flew open surprise. Shock hovered over my face and I took out my phone to make a video of what is happening. The video didn't last two minutes until they leaved I told Hunter to wait a minute before opening the front door in case it's trap.
I put my phone on the couch and went over to the door, Hunter right besides me. I opened the door slowly to see Jake coughing up blood on the porch just centimeters away from me. I reacted suddenly picking him up with the help of Hunter and carrying him towards the kitchen, sitting him on one of the chairs that surrounded the island.
"What happened?" I asked going towards to sink to fill a bowl up with water and to get a towel from the cabinet.
" David took me. I didn't know until after my phone died and he's looking for you Kaleb but he doesn't know that your here. He thought that your grandfather will find me. They beat the crap out of me. I missing a tooth dude. A friggin' tooth!" He exclaimed, opening his mouth and pointing to the spot where there's a missing tooth.
Jake had cuts all over his chest. He was beaten up very badly. Trails of dry blood made pathways on his forehead and arms.
The kitchen door open to show grandpa entering. His eyes widened but a couple of seconds later he came over to Jake taking the cloth that I was wiping the blood with into his hands and doing it himself.
"Go. I'll see about him." He said nodding towards the living room.
I sighed," Fine but come in the living room when you're done."
Hunter and I walked towards the kitchen door and head straight for the couch. Hunter sat down and I lied down stretching my feet over her lap.
She huffed," Get your dirty feet off of me you animal."
I laughed and removed them, dropping them on the floor.
"I won't consider myself as an animal but whatever."
" Oh shut it well you?"
"Nope." I said popping the 'p'.
Both Jake and grandpa walked into the living Jake taking a seat next to me.
" Dude I was so worried that something would have happened to you. I literally killed some guy yesterday while looking for you."
Grandpa coughed," Kaleb we need to talk."
I became silent to listen to what he was going to say and nodded for him to continue.
"You need to learn about your family hijo."
"Okay."
He bend over placing his arms on his lap and fiddling with his fingers.
"We're...um..secret assassins and spies working for the government." Whoa, this was definitely not expecting.
"Son if people learn about you they'll use it as an advantage, a really bad advantage. They might kidnap you or even worse kill you." He paused looking up at me while I sit with my arms crossed over my chest.
"Your father....he didn't leave to train Marines. He left because...he um....he thought it would be best if you stayed with your mother instead so people wouldn't discover you-" he paused, sighing.
"Unluckily your mother was a mad psychopath and we tried to get you out off the house. She declined every time and your grandmother and I tried but she threatened to reveal you. It was the biggest mistake. Your father did not know about this. He called as much as possible but we didn't tell him about what was going on with you."
I looked at him not knowing how to feel at this point all kinds of emotions was flying around me but I couldn't feel anything, I felt numb. I didn't say anything for two minutes, processing what he just told me.
"Where is he?" He looked at me confusion written across his face but then it disappeared when he realized who I was talking about.
" He's working in New Orleans."
I sighed, removing my hands from my chest and passing it through my hair.
"Okay." That was the last thing I said in a soft tone before I got up and went to my room.
*********
I laid down on my bed barebacked thinking about what grandpa had said. What would I say? I don't even know what to think at this point. It's not confusing but it's a speechless time for me right now.
"Hey." I heard a soft voice entering the room.
She laid down besides me not knowing what to say. I turned on me back and watched her looking aimlessly at the ceiling.
"How are you feeling?" Hunter asked, worried overfilling her voice.
" I'm okay but I'm just speechless. I have no idea what to say about this honestly."
"I've had situations like this." She said turning over to her side so she can watch me better, propping up her neck with her elbow on the bed.
"Really?"
"Yeah. My father did the same thing but I didn't have anyone to take care of me like you did. My mom died when I was born and my sister died when I was ten. You remind me a lot of my sister." I turned on my side mimicking her position slightly.
"I'm sorry to hear that but if you don't mind how do I remind you of your sister?" I asked sympathy screaming from my voice.
" She was a very kind and loving person. She always care for the people she loved first. She used to bother the crap out of me but I loved her anyways. Her eyes were the exact same colour as yours, it was one of her best features." Hunter shed a tear unknowingly and then more came out when she realized.
