this morning the chief gave me his house keys and waited at the hotel room while i went around the house planting camera's and listening devises around the place. when i came to Lights room i noticed he had the handle down a little as i entered. i placed camera's all over the room so that he would have no blind spots and even left a letter in the air con for Ryu. as i left i didn't put the handle back down and the paper back into the door so that he would no not to use the Death note, for i didn't want L to know about it, for i would most likely have to tell him about myself. the last room in the house i did was the bathroom, now i feel like a storker, putting camera's in a bathroom.
i finished and left only to get back to the hotel with the cheif looking at me, "is it really nesesary to have camera's in the bathroom?" he aske, "Yes, but if it makes you feel any better, i'll be the only one to watch what your wife and daughter do there" i said, "Well alright i guess, better you then Ryuuzaki" he said, "So now we wait" i said. we waited and waited and soon Light came home, "I'm home" he said but no reply. he went up to his room and noticed the door and walked in. he started to study but soon graved out his phone and rang someone.
my phone started to go of but i'm glade i had it on vibrate, "I'll be back, i need to make a call" i said as i walked to my room, not waiting for a reply. when i got there i answered my phone, "What" i said, "I was wandering if you feel any better?" he asked, "Yeah" i said, "You wern't really sick where you, you stayed home because of yesterday didn't you?" He asked, "Yeah, i did. i just needed some time to myself but i'll be back at school tomorrow, i promise" i said, "That's good to know, maybe you could came over again and help me again" he said, "Sure, i'll help you, maybe you might be able to paint a tree by the end of the year" i said jokingly, "Hay, i can paint a tree" he said defencivly, "Yeah right, a five year old can paint better then you can" i said laughing, "Hay, i can paint better then a five year old and i'll prove it tomorrow" he said, "What ever you say Light" i said still laughing, i could even hear Ryu laughing in the background. "Well i got to go now" he said, "Alright, see you tomorrow then" i said, Yeah see you tomorrow, bye" he said before hanging up.
i stayed in my room for another five minutes before leaving, "Where you talking to him" L said, "who else would i be talking to at this time of day" i replied sarcasticly, "Well Light seamed to call a friend of his that was playing hooky today after something that happened yesterday and is seeing then at school tomorrow" L informed me, "alright, anything else?" i asked, "Yes, Saya came home and is watching TV while Mrs Yagami is in the kitchen cooking dinner" L said, "Alright, wait Light is leaving" i said pointing at him as he leaves the house.
soon he returns with a bag and goes back to his room and locks the door before pulling out a magazine, "Well there's something you wouldn't suspect, he reads porn" i said watching Ryu dancing around the room trying to annoy him, "I can't beleave what i'm seeing" Cheif said, "Boy's his age do things like this" L said, "I even did" he said, "Yea right, the only thing you did that was read a romance book" i said shaking my head. "Wait he read a romance book" Masuda said, "Yea, one of my old ones" i said, "Wait you read Romance books?" He asked, "Only the ones by Mikoto Bara. i've read all of her books" i said, not telling them that i was also the one that wrote them. yes i write books, romance and mistory once.
"Wow, i like her books too, she always makes you feel like your there" he said, "Ok, well then wait here for a minute" i said as i went into my room and graved a copy of my new book that was comin out next month and signed it before walking out, "Here, you can have it, i've read it" I said handing him the book, "Really your going to let be borrow this book" he said, "No, i'm letting you keep it" i said before contiuning, "I've memorized it so there is no need for me to read it again" i said before going over the notes L gave me when i got back. "Wow thank you so much" He said before going to the corner of the room and sitting down to read it, "You gave it to him to get him to be quiet didn't you" L said, "Yes" was all i said before zoning out everything exect the notes in my hand.
"nata...Hinata" i heard someone say, i looked up from my notes to see the cheif in front of me. "Is there anything i can help you with?" i asked, "Well i was wondering if you belived my son to be Kira?" He asked, "Yes, otherwise i wouldn't be here watching whats going on" i replied. "But your not watching" He stated, "But i will, i'll be rewatching what happened thru the day while everyone else sleeps" i said but directed the last part at L.
at 10 everyone left, "i'm not going to sleep" L said without looking from the Tv's, "Yes you are, or i'll hack into all your exipment so you have nothing to do" i said grinning, even Watari was smiling from behind him. "Fine" was all he said before walking into his room with his laptop. "Laptop stays out here too L" I said, Watari chuckled, "Fine" he said placing it back onto the table before slowly walking of to his room.
"If you wheren't here, i don't think he would ever get any real sleep" Watari said smiling, "Well, i always made sure that all three of them got some desent sleep" i said thinking about my half-brother Near, and my cousin Beyond as well as L. "They are lucky to have someone like you looking after them" he said as he came back from the kitchen with a lemon pie. "Thank you" i said as i graved the remote and rewinded everything to watch Ryu dancing around and singing way of key, knowing i was watching.
at midnight i pursed the tape and went to cheak on L, to see him sitting on his bed, back facing me. "Can't sleep" i said, "Yeah, why can't i work and sleep later?" He asked, "Because i said so, now lay down and i'll sing for you" I said. surprisingly he listen without arguing. he layed down putting his head on my lap as i started to sing while running my fingers thru his hair.

as i finished i looked down to see him peacefully asleep. "goodnight L" i said as i carefully lifted his head and placed it on the pellow before kissing him on the forhead. i soon wet back out to continute watching Ryu, at one point he even started poking Light and begging for apples. he even started to say that he wished i was there so that he would have sameone to talk to.
around 1:30 Ryu came flying thru the wall, "Raven, it's so boring at night, do you have any apples for me" He said, "yes, only because you've been annoying Light and giving me a good laugh" i said as i went into the kitchen and graved an apple and thru it to him, "Thank you, thank you, thank you" he said jumping up and down like a five year old. "So what have you been doing, and where's Lawliet?" he asked, "Nothing much, just watching you be an idiot and he's asleep, tho he will most likly wake up in about three hours" i said nodding over to the room.
"So you like him" He said, "A bit, but i'm not going to tell him because i'll have to tell him about everything and that would destroy any chance of this lasting much longer" i said, "What" he said as he finished his apple, "This is fun, it's not everyday a death note cames 'falls' to earth" i said, falls being exagirated. "So this is really a show to you aswell as me" he said laughing, "Yes, i think it would be fun to see how long it will take L to find out for he doesn't belive in us" i said smiling. "So why do you like him then?" he asked, "Simple, he's on of the only people that i can have a deasent convisation with and he was there for me when i was forced to leave" i said. Ryu left after that, knowing him, he only came here for an apple.
